The province's industrial production index grew strongly in the first 6 months of 2024

According to the report of the General Statistics Office, industrial production in the first 6 months of 2024 in Phu Tho province has improved thanks to the significant contribution of a number of newly operating large-scale enterprises. In addition, the stability in production, market expansion, and domestic and foreign order seeking of enterprises have promoted the strong growth of the entire industrial sector, reaching 14.58% over the same period,... Total industrial products in the province reached over 33 trillion VND.

The index of industrial production (IIP) in the first 6 months of 2024 increased by 33.84% over the same period, ranking 3rd out of 63 provinces and cities. Of which, the processing and manufacturing industry increased the highest at 35.09%. Secondary industries playing a key role in promoting the growth of the entire industry include: Production of electrical equipment increased more than 28 times (due to new capacity) over the same period; beverage production increased by 69.19%; production of electronic products, computers and optical products increased by 45.69%; production of drugs, pharmaceutical chemicals and medicinal materials increased by 20.68%; wood processing and production of products from wood, bamboo and rattan (except beds, wardrobes, tables and chairs) increased by 19.28%; production of chemicals and chemical products increased by 14.95%...

The development of industrial production has contributed to promoting the economic growth of the province. The total product in the province (GRDP) in the first 6 months of 2024 reached nearly 109,400 billion VND, an estimated increase of 8.16% over the same period in 2023; of which the total product of the industrial and construction sector reached 42,816 billion VND, an increase of 13.49% over the same period.
