Chi Pu: 'Chinese fans said they are ready to fly to Vietnam to support my film'

Chi Pu affirmed that despite achieving some international success, she still always respects and dedicates herself to the Vietnamese market.

The film The Sun Man by director Timothy Linh Bui has just had a project introduction. This is also a film that attracts attention with the participation of Chi Pu, especially after her success in the Chinese market with the show Dap Gio 2023.

Recently, Chi Pu has been working in parallel between the two markets of China and Vietnam. The actress attracted media attention when appearing at events after causing a stir in China.

In the film, Chi Pu plays a sexy vampire named Trieu. She also revealed the reason she accepted the role of a vampire because the director revealed that this was the most beautiful and evil role of her career. The work also marks the actress's return after a busy time in the music industry.

Chi Pu appeared beautifully with Thuan Nguyen.

Sharing about her success in the land of a billion people, Chi Pu revealed: "All my activities are shared and updated with both Vietnamese and Chinese fans. When updating the Sun People film project, many Chinese fans said they were willing to fly to Vietnam to support the film. I feel very touched by the love and enthusiasm of the audience.

In addition, Chi Pu also admitted that she felt pressured in choosing her next role after the success of her role as Nhi in Chi Chi Em Em. The actress met, discussed and raised questions with director Timothy Linh Bui.

"The character Trieu is truly evil and this evil is revealed on the outside. Trieu experiences a lot of suffering and loss and finds the light of life in power and love. Therefore, she is determined at all costs to keep what she thinks is happiness with selfish and cruel choices," the actress said about the character.

Chi Pu also added that because it was a work about vampires, the film was filmed at night. This caused the cast to have a disrupted schedule. Meanwhile, everyone had to try to stay in shape and keep their skin white and beautiful because vampires have to be white and beautiful.

Responding to the question "How has the salary changed with the successes achieved in the past time?" , Chi Pu frankly said: "Of course, when you become more famous, the salary will have to increase. With the project Nguoi Mat Troi, Chi Pu also affirmed that she participated in the film without caring about the salary but because she loved the character's appearance and psychology. She felt the dedication and meticulousness of the entire crew and director.

Continuing to take on the main role in this film project, Thuan Nguyen shared his joy when the work The Last Wife he participated in was showing in theaters while The Sun Man was also preparing to be released.

"I don't know if I'm delusional or not, but I feel like my time is coming!" he joked.

The Sun Man tells the story of two vampire brothers, Marco (Thuan Nguyen) and Nhat (Tran Ngoc Vang), who have lived for 400 years. Their fate is exposed by a girl, a normal human. The older brother wants to destroy the girl to protect their species, while the younger brother races against time to protect the girl.

The film is an action thriller about vampires. In addition to Chi Pu and Thuan Nguyen, the film also features the participation of Tran Ngoc Vang, Trinh Thao…. The film is scheduled to premiere on December 8.
