(LĐ online) - On the morning of April 8, the Lam Dong Newspaper's grassroots Party cell was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Standing Committee of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee for achieving the standard of Excellently completing typical tasks for 5 consecutive years (2020 - 2024). Authorized by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, comrade Hoang Thanh Hai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Party Agencies came to present the Certificate of Merit to the Lam Dong Newspaper Party cell.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Nga Oanh - Deputy Head of the Party Organization Committee of the Provincial Party Agencies announced the commendation decision of the Provincial Party Standing Committee.

This is a proud achievement that the Lam Dong Newspaper Party Cell has achieved thanks to its efforts, solidarity and continuous efforts over the past time. The Lam Dong Newspaper Party Cell is the only grassroots Party organization in the Provincial Party Committee of Party Agencies to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Provincial Party Standing Committee in the past 5 years.

This certificate of merit is a recognition of Lam Dong Newspaper's important contributions to the work of building the Party and the political system, as well as comprehensive information and propaganda work in all fields; timely orientation of public opinion, fighting and refuting the distorted arguments of hostile forces, contributing to protecting the Party's ideological foundation; operating in accordance with the principles and purposes of a local Party Newspaper, worthy of being the Agency of the Communist Party of Vietnam of Lam Dong province; the voice of the Party Committee, Government and People of Lam Dong.

In recent times, the leadership and direction of the Lam Dong Newspaper Party Cell has made positive progress; the work of creating sources for Party development has been given attention; the organizational apparatus has been gradually consolidated and the training and fostering of cadres has been given importance, especially the improvement of political theory and state management for cadres, party members, civil servants and workers.

The Party Committee and Party Cell have regularly maintained and improved the quality of meetings and extended Editorial Board meetings; gradually innovated the methods, content and topics of meetings; and paid attention to leading political and social organizations in the agency to effectively carry out assigned political tasks.

The unit has focused on building solidarity and unity within the Party Committee, Party Cell, Editorial Board and the entire agency. It has focused on leadership, raising awareness of political theory and strictly implementing the principle of democratic centralism within the Party. Implementing the Grassroots Democracy Regulations is closely linked to Party building and strengthening agencies and organizations.

The unit also successfully innovated the leadership methods of the Party Committee, Party Cell and Editorial Board. It built a good working relationship between the Party Committee, Party Cell Secretary and the Head of the agency, the Editorial Board and political and social organizations in the agency; raised the sense of organization, discipline and responsibility of each cadre and party member.

Over the past 5 years (2020 - 2024), Lam Dong Newspaper Party Cell has continuously grown in both scale and leadership quality. The Party Cell has grown from 19 party members (in 2020) to 12 new party members, bringing the number of party members in the Party Cell closer to the minimum number of party members of a Party Committee. Currently, Lam Dong Newspaper Party Cell has 28 party members; of which, there are 4 probationary party members.

Over the past time, Lam Dong Newspaper has always played the role of the main, official and reliable source of information for the Party Committee, Government and people of all ethnic groups in the province and especially, through each stage of practical activities, the team of Lam Dong Newspaper journalists has always strived to practice, cultivate ethics, qualities and improve professional capacity and skills of revolutionary journalists, raise awareness of law compliance, fully perform the role, social responsibility, civic duty, always absolutely loyal to Marxism - Leninism, Ho Chi Minh thought; wholeheartedly serve the cause of innovation of the Party, State and socialist regime; ensure good propaganda work on current political situations, socio-economic development, national defense, security, Party building, political system... in the province, domestically and internationally.

In 5 years, Lam Dong Newspaper Party Cell has directed the professional organization to produce 1,307 issues; of which, there are 36 special publications, ensuring good propaganda of current events in all fields domestically and internationally. The role of the Party Cell and Editorial Board is clearly demonstrated in always paying attention to the Party's character in the newspaper, so in the past time, there has been no situation of "commercialization of the press", mistakes, deviations in the Party's guidelines and viewpoints.

At the same time, continue to improve and enhance the quality of content and form of printed and electronic newspapers with increasingly timely, rich, attractive and useful information. Lam Dong Weekend Newspaper constantly researches and innovates, highly appreciated by readers and colleagues. Daily printed newspapers maintain and improve the quality of columns and pages. Electronic newspapers continue to be innovated, information is increasingly updated, rich and attractive; the number of readers continues to increase over time with over 30 thousand visits per day.

In 2022, determining the work of ensuring security and order in general and security and order for Lam Dong Newspaper in particular (especially information security and network security) in the era of the 4.0 revolution is one of the important and urgent tasks for Lam Dong Newspaper. Therefore, Lam Dong Newspaper Party Cell registered the Model of "leadership and direction in building a model of Lam Dong Newspaper's civil servants and employees self-managing security and order" as one of the creative ways in leading the implementation of political tasks at the unit in 2022.

In 2023, the Party Cell directed the construction of the model "Digital transformation of Lam Dong Newspaper towards a modern multimedia communication agency", aiming at the goal of: Raising awareness, responsibility and creating a strong change in the actions of officials and employees of Lam Dong Newspaper about the importance of comprehensive digital transformation in the new development stage of the country, the locality, and the revolutionary press. Specify and identify key contents to implement Resolution No. 12-NQ/TU dated May 25, 2022 of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee; Plan to implement the National Strategy for Digital Economy and Digital Society Development to 2025, with a vision to 2030 in Lam Dong province, ensuring that it is consistent with the actual situation of Lam Dong Newspaper.

Adjust, restructure the organization, arrange and perfect the apparatus and operating procedures of Lam Dong Newspaper to ensure that it complies with legal regulations, is suitable, scientific, effective and meets the requirements of press agencies in the digital age. Change the traditional management and publishing methods to digital methods to improve the effectiveness and efficiency in the leadership, direction, management and operation of Lam Dong Newspaper.

As a result, the digital transformation work of Lam Dong Newspaper was assessed by the Ministry of Information and Communications as Good and ranked 6/159 evaluated local press agencies.

In 2024, the Party Committee and Party Cell of Lam Dong Newspaper built an innovative model of "Strengthening propaganda work and promoting green transformation". Accordingly, the Party Committee and Editorial Board of Lam Dong Newspaper directed specialized departments and mass organizations to widely deploy this model to all cadres, party members, reporters and workers in the agency.

As a result, hundreds of news, articles and photos on the topic of "Green Transformation" were published by cadres and reporters in Lam Dong Newspaper. In particular, in 2024, the Party Cell led and directed the successful organization of the Conference of Party newspapers of provinces and cities in the Central - Central Highlands region (expanded) with the theme "Press propaganda to promote green transformation" which attracted more than 200 delegates from 40 press agencies nationwide.

Together with Lam Dong Newspaper, the Provincial Party Standing Committee awarded the Emulation Flag to the Hoa Ninh Commune Party Committee (Di Linh District) for achieving the standard of "Excellently completing tasks" for 5 consecutive years (2020 - 2024); at the same time, awarded a Certificate of Merit to the Provincial Public Security Party Committee for achieving the standard of "Excellently completing tasks" in 2024 and 7 grassroots Party organizations and Party cells under the grassroots Party Committee for achieving the standard of "Excellently completing tasks" for 5 consecutive years (2020 - 2024).
