Only 32% of businesses realize the value AI brings

Speaking at the 2024 Corporate Governance Forum with the theme "Making management decisions based on data and AI", on October 11, Dr. Han Manh Tien - Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Corporate Directors said that making management decisions based on data and AI is an issue of great concern to the business and enterprise community. This concern arises in the context of the 4.0 industrial revolution, which is changing very rapidly and deeply affecting the economic, political and social life of the world.

The 4.0 industrial revolution with the combination of new sensor technology, big data analysis, cloud computing and internet of things will promote the development of automated machines and smart manufacturing systems. Thereby creating a great influence on the business decision-making of entrepreneurs and business leaders.

“To maximize the benefits of AI in the current economic development trend, especially in corporate governance, businesses need to have thorough preparation and appropriate step-by-step implementation strategies. In Vietnam, many businesses in fields such as technology, finance, banking, and healthcare have incorporated AI into their business processes, governance strategies, and organizations and have achieved many positive results,” said Mr. Tien.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Dinh Thien - former Director of the Vietnam Economic Institute, digital economy and green economy are affirming a completely new era of mankind. The era associated with AI is a different era, this is an unusual leap, changing the whole situation.

Today, globally, the digital economy and the green economy are no longer a choice but a necessity. No one can choose not to participate, because this is a must, an inevitable trend for everyone.

With its outstanding benefits, businesses now consider AI application not only a trend but also a mandatory requirement to develop and keep up with the rapid development of the digital age," said Mr. Quang.
