The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just issued a decision approving the results of the city's recruitment of civil servants from excellent university graduates and young scientists in 2024.

According to the results approved by the city, there were 2 candidates who passed the exam and 1 candidate who did not pass the exam. Of the 2 candidates who passed the exam, 1 candidate applied to be a high school math teacher at the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City. One candidate applied to be a teaching assistant at Saigon University.

The plan to recruit civil servants and public employees from excellent university graduates and young scientists in Ho Chi Minh City aims to attract and recruit excellent university graduates and young scientists with high qualifications, professional capacity, good moral qualities, meeting the needs and requirements of the job, suitable for the job position to supplement the civil servant team, create a source of cadres in state administrative agencies and public service units in the area according to Decree 140/2017 of the Government on policies to attract and create a source of cadres from excellent university graduates and young scientists.

In 2023, after 5 years of implementing Decree 140/2017, Ho Chi Minh City recruited for the first time 3 civil servants from excellent graduates and young scientists. 2 out of 3 candidates selected for the teaching position in 2023 were assigned to teach at two famous specialized schools in Ho Chi Minh City: Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted and Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted.
