The first round of the Hanoi National University HSA 2024 Competency Assessment Exam (round 401) took place on March 23-24. This round took place at 8 locations including: Testing Center, University of Technology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities (both under Hanoi National University), Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment, Banking Academy, Thai Binh University, Nam Dinh University of Technical Education.

The total number of candidates registered for the exam according to the list is 11,157. The number of candidates present for the exam is 11,014, the attendance rate is 98.7%. This is a much higher rate than the same period last year. Some exam sites have 100% of candidates present for the exam. After one week of taking the exam, candidates will receive their score report via mail.

According to the Examination Council, during the two days of the exam, 9 candidates were suspended from the exam due to violating the exam regulations. Professor Nguyen Tien Thao, Director of the Examination Center of Hanoi National University, said that all 9 candidates made the mistake of copying the exam questions into the Atlas document (brought into the exam room) to take home. This is a very important mistake, the Examination Council reminded many times but some candidates still violated it.

"This is a very regrettable violation, because the test sites are very strictly controlled, it is very difficult to take the test out. And taking the test out is useless! Some students copy the test with the hope that when they take the test the second time (the regulations allow each candidate to register for the test twice a year), they will get that question right. But the probability of encountering that question again is extremely low, less than 0.01%. In addition, candidates who have been suspended from the test are not allowed to take the test a second time," Mr. Thao shared.

Professor Nguyen Tien Thao also said that this year, the Hanoi National University Examination Center has deployed candidate identification technology at all examination sites. Candidates must present their citizen identification cards and have their images identified when completing examination procedures.

The next 402nd round of exams will take place on April 6 and 7 in Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Hung Yen, Thai Binh, Thanh Hoa, and Ha Tinh , with 18,213 registered candidates. The Hanoi National University Examination Center will announce the score distribution for the March and April exams in early May.

The Hanoi National University Examination Center affirms that it does not publish any publications related to exam preparation. All advertising materials on the internet are unofficial and do not serve the Hanoi National University's competency assessment exam.
