Coffee shop - a meeting place for those who love the national flag
Since the beginning of April, many coffee shops in the center of Hoa Lu city have begun to decorate their spaces with the main color red. National flags, banners, slogans, small flags, propaganda posters, etc. are hung up, turning every corner of the shop into an ideal background for young people, families and tourists to check in.
Ms. Nguyen Minh Trang, owner of Dream 1989 cafe in the old town, Trang An street, Tan Thanh ward, Hoa Lu city, shared: "April 30 is not only a big holiday but also an opportunity for me to remember history and national pride. My shop mainly serves young people, and I want to take this opportunity to inspire them about historical traditions, about the value of independence and freedom of the Fatherland. I hope that when you come here, you will be able to learn more about old memories."
Ms. Phan Thi Lan Anh, owner of a coffee shop on Dinh Dien Street, Ninh Khanh Ward, Hoa Lu City, said: "Decorating the shop with a historical theme is not only a business idea, but also a way to remind the younger generation of the value of independence and peace. I am very happy that customers responded enthusiastically, especially young people."
Unlike normal days, the corners of the shop are now decorated in bright red. From tables and chairs painted in the flag’s color, pictures of the April 30 victory, or signs promoting “Proud to be Vietnamese”, “Independence - Freedom - Happiness”… All create a space that is both modern and nostalgic.
Ms. Nguyen Khanh Linh, a visitor from Hanoi, said: "Every holiday, I like to find cafes decorated according to a theme. This year, I went to Ninh Binh to visit right before the April 30 holiday and was surprised to see the cafes here decorated very neatly and cozy. The atmosphere was filled with red flags with yellow stars, I took a few sets of photos to send to my friends, everyone praised them as beautiful."
In particular, many families took advantage of this opportunity to dress their children in army uniforms, red flag shirts with yellow stars, to preserve the moment. Each photo was filled with red, radiant faces mixed with a bit of pride, making the atmosphere celebrating the April 30th victory day more lively.
"I find the shop decorated with the atmosphere of Independence Day very cute and meaningful. The corners are decorated in an old-fashioned style, hanging red flags with yellow stars, looking both familiar and warm. I took the opportunity to take my child to take some souvenir photos, both fun and to let my child know more about April 30. I hope these photos will preserve the beautiful moments of the family", shared Mai Anh Tuyet, a parent who brought her child to take photos at the cafe.
Check-in inspired by historical memories
Not only enjoying coffee, amateur and professional photographers also take advantage of this occasion to take unique photos. Mr. Chu Hai, a freelance photographer, shared: "I often hunt for shops decorated according to the season, but the concept of taking photos on April 30 is the most special because it is associated with national history." According to Mr. Hai, taking check-in photos is not only to preserve the moment but also to spread the spirit of national pride through social networks.
In particular, on this occasion, young people take advantage of checking in and recording Tiktok videos to share the bustling atmosphere with everyone.
Young people check in at the cafe, which is brightly decorated with red flags and yellow stars, filled with the atmosphere of celebrating the Liberation Day of the South and National Reunification.
Ms. Tran Minh Anh, a young customer, excitedly said: "We made an appointment to check-in at a cafe with a liberation concept at the beginning of the week. Not only did we take beautiful photos, but we also felt a part of the memories of the previous generation."
The coffee shop space is brightly decorated with national flags, creating a beautiful highlight on the occasion of April 30 and May 1.
