Fire at a house combined with a business in Binh Dinh, many properties were burned down

Previously, at around 12:12 on April 23, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Binh Dinh Province received a fire alarm at a house combined with a business in area 7, Nhon Phu Ward, Quy Nhon City (Binh Dinh).

According to information from people living near the area where the fire occurred, the fire broke out quickly with many explosions and a column of black smoke rising tens of meters high. Many people also smelled the stench of chemicals.

Authorities arrived at the scene and quickly extinguished the fire.

Immediately, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Binh Dinh Province mobilized 10 fire trucks, 2 command vehicles and nearly 100 officers and soldiers to the scene to deploy fire extinguishing work. At the same time, Binh Dinh Petroleum Company also sent 2 fire trucks to support at the scene.

Because the house contained some solvents used to mix PU paint for wooden furniture and many flammable objects, when the authorities arrived at the scene, the fire had engulfed the entire house and spread to some neighboring areas. The authorities quickly deployed water spray, isolated the fire, and prevented it from spreading to neighboring buildings.

Many properties were burned down after the fire.

By around 12:45 p.m. the same day, the fire was basically under control. Although there were no casualties, the house and the solvent storage area were completely burned down, the corrugated iron roof collapsed, and the fence was cracked.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated and clarified by Binh Dinh provincial authorities.
