Fire at children's toy warehouse in Hanoi: Hundreds of firefighters fought the fire for 4 hours

The Fire Prevention and Rescue Command Center of Hanoi City Police mobilized 11 specialized vehicles and hundreds of officers and soldiers to put out the fire at a children's toy warehouse in Thinh Liet Ward (Hoang Mai District) for 4 hours.

Regarding the fire that occurred at lane 115 Dinh Cong (Thinh Liet ward, Hoang Mai district, Hanoi), on the morning of November 19, a representative of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Hoang Mai District Police said that the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of the City Police mobilized 11 fire trucks from 4 units to participate in fighting the fire.

Specifically, at 10:26 p.m. on November 18, the Hanoi City Police Command Information Center received a fire report at lane 115 Dinh Cong, Thinh Liet ward.

Immediately upon receiving the news, the Command Information Center dispatched 4 fire trucks from Hoang Mai District Police, 2 from Hai Ba Trung District Police, 3 from Fire Fighting & Rescue Team Area 2 (Fire Fighting & Rescue Police Department) and 2 from Fire Fighting & Rescue Team Area 5 to the scene.

Police determined that the warehouse that caught fire was located on the land of Vietnam Railway Transport Services Joint Stock Company, with an area of ​​800 square meters, a 1-story building with brick walls and a corrugated iron roof.

Because there were many plastic items and toys inside such as ball houses, plastic balls... the fire flared up fiercely and spread quickly, making firefighting difficult.

At the scene, 250 square meters of Hung Nam Cuong Interior Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, which rented the premises from Vietnam Railway Transport Services Joint Stock Company, were on fire. Some adjacent warehouses were scorched, affected by heat and smoke; adjacent houses were affected by heat and smoke on the walls.

The fire lasted for 4 hours, causing great difficulty for firefighters. It was not until 1:00 a.m. on November 19 that it was completely extinguished.

According to the representative of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Hoang Mai District Police, the fire did not cause any human casualties, and property damage is being assessed.

Hoang Mai District Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
