A large fire suddenly broke out at a high-rise rental building in Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City, causing many people to panic and try to find a way to escape.
As of this afternoon (December 10), Binh Tan District Police, Ho Chi Minh City are still investigating the cause of the fire at the high-rise rental building located on Street 13, Binh Hung Hoa Ward.
At around noon the same day, people saw black smoke billowing from inside a 7-story building on Street 13, Binh Hung Hoa Ward.
When the alarm went off, many people living inside the house panicked and tried to find a way to escape. Some people downstairs managed to escape. The tenants upstairs climbed to the roof.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Ho Chi Minh City Police mobilized many fire fighting vehicles, ladder trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to carry out fire fighting and search and rescue work. After more than 1 hour, the fire was brought under control.
The cause and damage of the fire are being investigated.
