According to initial information, on the afternoon of October 29, a fire broke out at a furniture store located on De La Thanh Street (Ngoc Khanh Ward, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi).

Witnesses said that because the store contained a lot of wood, glue, and accessories for making furniture, the fire spread quickly and created a lot of toxic smoke and gas.

"People quickly joined with local firefighters to use mobile fire extinguishers and equipment from public fire stations to put out the fire," said a witness.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police dispatched three fire trucks to the scene to put out the fire. After about 30 minutes, the fire was brought under control and extinguished.

The fire caused no human casualties, but property damage is being assessed.

Currently, Ba Dinh District Police are investigating and clarifying the cause of the fire. Notably, in 2017, the above address also had a fire.
