According to the program, the 25th session of the National Assembly Standing Committee will open on August 14. This session is expected to last 7.5 days with many important contents and will be organized in two phases.
Phase 1 from August 14-18. Phase 2 from August 24-26. At this meeting, the National Assembly Standing Committee will spend one working day organizing a question-and-answer session on two groups of issues under the responsibility of the Ministry of Justice and a group of issues under the responsibility of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
To best prepare for the question-and-answer session, based on the experience of previous question-and-answer sessions, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue requested that agencies report further on the preparation work, especially the preparation of documents and draft Resolutions on the question-and-answer session; at the same time, make recommendations, proposals, and issues that need attention so that the question-and-answer session can take place successfully, enthusiastically, in a constructive spirit, and bring about practical results. The National Assembly Chairman emphasized that for the question-and-answer session to take place successfully, the preparation work must be thorough and thoughtful. Along with that, the role of the respondent and the questioner is also important. To get good answers, first of all, we must ask the right questions, ask the right questions, and ask them in a constructive spirit.
Overview of the working session.
At the working session, reporting on the preparation work for the question-and-answer session at the 25th meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong said that, through reviewing and checking the content and ensuring conditions, up to now, the preparation work has basically been implemented according to plan.
Regarding the content of the questioning, at this session, the National Assembly Standing Committee and National Assembly Deputies questioned 2 groups of issues.
Firstly, the group of issues under the responsibility of the Ministry of Justice: Implementation of the law and ordinance development program; solutions to ensure progress, quality and procedural records of projects and drafts submitted by the Government to the National Assembly; solutions to improve the quality of the legal system, solutions to control power, prevent corruption and negativity in the law development work under the responsibility of the Government.
Current situation and solutions to improve the capacity, effectiveness and efficiency of the work of inspecting legal documents. Solutions to overcome the situation of slow promulgation, overlapping and contradictory content, and limitations and violations in the promulgation of documents detailing laws, resolutions of the National Assembly, ordinances and resolutions of the National Assembly Standing Committee.
Current situation and solutions to overcome limitations and shortcomings, improve the effectiveness of asset auction and judicial appraisal.

Second, the group of issues under the responsibility of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development: Solutions to remove difficulties for agricultural exports. Activities to exploit, protect and develop aquatic resources; solutions to remove the "yellow card" of the European Commission (EC) for aquatic products. Conversion of land use purposes, recovery of rice-growing land area, ensuring food security and rice export.
Regarding the preparation of technical conditions and facilities, the Secretary General of the National Assembly and the Office of the National Assembly have proactively and strengthened coordination with relevant agencies to carefully prepare the conditions for online television infrastructure and coordinate the organization of conferences with 62 local bridges, ensuring facilities, security and safety at the National Assembly House to serve the question and answer session well.
Concluding the working session, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue stated that the questioning session is not to test the Minister but to clarify and understand the awareness, and to share the responsibility to explain to the people and voters for the common work. With that spirit, the questioning sessions since the beginning of the term have been organized with good quality, practical effectiveness, and a high spirit of construction. The National Assembly Chairman expressed his belief that this questioning session will continue to inherit that spirit, maintain and promote the achieved results.
The National Assembly Chairman also noted the group of issues of the question content, paying attention to the current emerging issues, some issues of principles and regulations of the question session to ensure the conduct of the question session is focused and meets time requirements. He requested that the National Assembly agencies, according to their respective areas of responsibility, take the lead and coordinate in drafting the Question Resolution and related documents.
