Small class sizes, with 30-45 students.
Classes at Hoa Sen University are organized into small groups of 30-45 students. Dr. Phan Thi Viet Nam, Vice Rector of Hoa Sen University, said this helps students interact better and ensures higher quality education.
* Small class sizes will increase training costs; will the school raise tuition or charge additional fees?
At Hoa Sen University, students study in small class sizes of 30-45 students. This allows for personalized attention and guidance from instructors, ample opportunities for direct interaction, question-answering, and the maximization of personal potential. This small class size also fosters strong relationships with peers, creating a more effective learning and development environment.
This is how many international universities have long organized their classes. We aim to become a high-quality university meeting international standards, so this class organization method is necessary. Although the training costs are higher compared to larger classes, the university does not charge any additional fees.
We accept this in order to provide students with the best learning environment and experience, thereby raising the quality of education at the school. The school is committed to focusing on quality, not quantity.
* But quality education, especially according to international standards, isn't simply about organizing small classes with few students, is it?
- That's right. That's how we organize classes to deliver quality education. Overall quality education encompasses many other factors such as the curriculum, teaching methods, and faculty. The university aims to become an internationally accredited university. To achieve this milestone, since 2022, the university has implemented a program where 50% of the curriculum is taught in English, and has franchised programs from prestigious universities worldwide.
In 2023, we established a partnership program with De Montfort University – a public university from the UK with over 150 years of history – while simultaneously maintaining several Vietnamese-language programs.
Hoa Sen University shortens the training time to 3.5 years, with a streamlined and in-depth curriculum according to international standards. Students save both time and money, completing their training early to seize job opportunities. Students will also have the opportunity to study abroad twice during their 3.5-year course.
The Hoa Sen Go Global delegation visited and experienced the University of Wollongong, Malaysia.
* Specifically, which programs have been accredited according to international standards? What benefits do students receive from this accreditation, Madam?
- Educational quality assurance is a key factor in affirming the quality of training at educational institutions and in training programs. Through the evaluation and quality assurance process, schools can leverage their strengths and develop improvement plans to continuously enhance the quality of training for the school as a whole and for each training program in particular.
With its vision of becoming a prestigious international university, Hoa Sen University has been recognized by international assessment and accreditation organizations as meeting quality standards in recent years.
ASIIN assesses the quality of training programs in engineering, information, and natural sciences . The National Education Assessment System of Australia (NEAS) has awarded accreditation to Hoa Sen University's International English Communication program.
