On the evening of December 31, 2024, a grand 2025 art program with a countdown and spectacular fireworks display will be held at the Ba Den Mountain cable car station square. The program is expected to welcome thousands of people and tourists to join in the exciting New Year's atmosphere at the highest mountain in the South.
Ms. Tran Thi Thao (Vinh Long) said: “Last year, my family was extremely excited to join the crowd watching fireworks and welcoming the New Year here. The feeling of counting down and welcoming the New Year right at the sacred Ba Den mountain is a very different experience compared to other places, extremely sacred and meaningful”.
This year's 2025 art program not only features joyful performances full of spring colors, but also features the appearance of Miss Super Global International 2024 runner-up Sangeeta Rani, Miss Universe Laos Soliya Bounsayngam and a team of models in a unique Ao Dai fashion show. Along with the eye-catching fireworks display, the art program will be a New Year's greeting filled with joy and happiness for Tay Ninh people and tourists.
Going to the market with leaves on Ba Den mountain
As a “specialty” of Tay Ninh province, the leaf market has long had a special appeal to tourists because of its unique way of buying and selling: buying goods with leaves. With just a leaf in hand, visitors can buy traditional dishes with a strong hometown flavor at this interesting market.
To bring a joyful spring atmosphere, Ba Den leaf market will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on December 31, 2024 with many attractive traditional dishes such as: banh it, banh cuon, banh trang, banh ú, banh xu xe, banh bot loc, banh bo, banh da lon, cassava steamed with coconut, sweet soup, sticky rice... Each visitor when passing through the cable car ticket gate to the top of Ba Den mountain will be given a bodhi leaf to buy food and drinks of their choice.
Ms. Dao Thi Viet - Deputy Director of Sun World Ba Den Mountain said: "By organizing Ba Den leaf market in the last hours of the old year, we hope that visitors will welcome a warm, prosperous spring, and a new year full of joy."
See the flower "paradise" and see the lantern exhibition
In the last days of the old year, Ba Den Mountain is like a “flower paradise” with hundreds of flower species and tens of thousands of flower trees blooming in the clouds. The most brilliant flowers blooming on the mountain top at this time are foreign roses in all colors of red, yellow, pink, orange...; chrysanthemums, daisies, zinnias, orchids, hydrangeas, begonias, red cannon flowers, lantern flowers...
Ms. Nguyen Anh Hoa (HCMC) shared: “Not only is the climate cool, the flowers here bloom very big and beautiful, the colors are also very bold and sharp. You can check-in with flowers from any corner on the top of Ba Den mountain. I also really look forward to Lunar New Year to return to Ba Den mountain to see tulips, like getting lost in the Netherlands, very interesting”.
Coming to Ba Den Mountain this time, visitors can also feel the unique traditional Tet atmosphere in the art lantern exhibition space with 1,200 lanterns handcrafted from Dong Ho paintings, hand-painted paintings and folk prints. At the exhibition, the joyful atmosphere of the New Year is depicted in each lantern with colorful painted motifs that evoke childhood memories such as: carp, lion and dragon dances, or familiar symbols of Japanese culture such as Samurai, Sumo, Yokai, Geisha, Noh theater, carp, lucky cats, Kitsune...
In addition, the Buddhist exhibition space, the water music show next to the statue of Maitreya Bodhisattva and the lantern offering ceremony taking place every Saturday night are experiences that visitors should not miss when coming to Ba Den Mountain. With many unique entertainment experiences, Ba Den Mountain Tay Ninh has become an attractive destination in the South during the short New Year holiday this year.
