As one of the households receiving 80 million VND in support to build a new house, Mr. Le Cong Hoan, Vinh Tuy 4 village, Vinh Ninh commune, is extremely excited that in just a few months, his family will be living in a new, spacious and solid house.
After participating in the Central Highlands Campaign, Mr. Hoan was given the opportunity to study automotive engineering, then teach in Nha Trang. After that, he returned to his hometown to retire and receive sick pay according to the State's regulations. After many years of effort, he and his wife still do not have the conditions to build a new house. The house his family lives in is still a level 4 house that is degraded and low compared to the road surface.
“Now that the Party and Government are paying attention and supporting us in building houses, I am very touched. This is a great source of encouragement, both materially and spiritually, for us, who have worked with the revolution, to stabilize our lives,” Mr. Hoan shared.
Implementing the housing support project for NCC with the revolution and martyrs' relatives, in Vinh Ninh commune, there are 37 households eligible for support to build new and repair houses. Vice Chairman of Vinh Ninh Commune People's Committee Hoang Van Tinh said that the locality has 6 households eligible for support to build new and 31 households to repair houses. After establishing a steering committee, the commune reviewed households eligible for support to promptly implement. The locality has worked with villages and households to start building houses according to schedule. To date, the commune has started to build 4 new houses and many repaired houses have been basically completed to hand over to NCC families for use.
With the determination to complete housing support for NCC families with the revolution according to the set plan, in recent times, Quan Hau town has actively implemented specific and practical solutions to speed up the progress of completing new construction and repairing houses for households in the area.
Vice Chairwoman of Quan Hau Town People's Committee Bui Thi Thu Tham said that the town has focused on directing the repair and construction of houses for 34 households eligible for support (including 7 newly built houses and 27 repaired houses). In addition to the budget support, the town has called on and mobilized people to contribute funds to further support families in difficult circumstances; at the same time, mobilized political organizations and unions to join hands to help with labor, contributing to reducing costs and speeding up construction progress. Up to this point, the town has started construction and repair of 12 houses, 2 houses have been completed and put into use.
Head of the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Department of Quang Ninh District, Tran Van Lai, said that implementing the housing support project for NCC with the revolution, relatives of martyrs' families in the district, local Party committees and authorities have actively participated in reviewing, guiding, inspecting and urging households to build and repair houses. Each newly built house is supported with 80 million VND and each renovated and repaired house is supported with 40 million VND. During the implementation process, many households encountered difficulties due to economic constraints, lack of people, old age, poor health, etc. Localities have directed Party committees, authorities, mass organizations and mobilized people to participate in donating to support households in terms of working days, ensuring that the projects are completed on schedule.
In 2025, Quang Ninh district will support the construction of 563 houses for NCC with the revolution and relatives of martyrs' families, including 115 new houses and 448 houses repaired. Up to now, localities in the district have organized the groundbreaking ceremony for 300 houses, including 52 new houses and 248 houses renovated and repaired. |
According to Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh District People's Committee Le Ngoc Huan: The project to support housing for NCC with the revolution, relatives of martyrs' families is not only an important political task but also a deeply humane responsibility of the Party and Government towards NCC with the revolution. In that spirit, the district has directed the entire political system to get involved and actively deploy the construction and repair of houses for families in the area. During the implementation process, localities have done a good job of propaganda to the people, coordinated to review NCC with the revolution, relatives of martyrs' families eligible for support, the current housing status, the needs of households, promoted democracy, and followed the instructions.
Currently, some houses in the district have completed renovation and repair and are awaiting acceptance and put into use. Quang Ninh district sets a target of striving to start construction of 100% of houses by the end of May 2025 and to complete the construction, renovation and repair of houses for revolutionary veterans and relatives of martyrs' families in the area by September 30, 2025.
