Lam Dong Provincial Youth Union currently has 10 district-level Youth Unions, 137 commune-level Youth Unions, 378 Youth Unions, with 154,791 members and 244,317 children. In recent times, creating an environment for children to effectively implement the Movement "Lam Dong Children compete to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings" has been focused on by Youth Union chapters at all levels in the province.

Specifically, in the period of 2019 - 2025, the whole province organized more than 2,500 gratitude activities such as visiting Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids, martyrs' families, families with meritorious services to the revolution and visiting martyrs' cemeteries... with more than 835,200 team members and children participating. Organized more than 2,000 trips to "red addresses" in direct and online forms, attracting more than 1.5 million team members and children to participate.

The Youth Union of districts and cities has organized well the movements and emulation activities to study well; guided the team members and children to promote their creativity, proactively equip themselves with knowledge of foreign languages ​​and information technology. Guided the children to use and exploit the internet to serve their learning and entertainment needs in a healthy way. The whole province has maintained and effectively promoted 226 hobby club models, 243 Children's Rights clubs, 193 learning clubs, etc. Through that, it has created a healthy and safe environment for children to live, exercise, and develop their talents.

In addition, the Provincial Youth Union also directed the grassroots to focus on educating team members and children about thrift, love of work, and environmental protection through the "Small Plan" Movement. Thereby, the money saved by team members and children was used to award scholarships and meaningful gifts to disadvantaged students who excelled in their studies of the Youth Union. The Youth Unions also effectively organized the Model of "Educating social practice skills", "Creative experiential recess" combined with propaganda sessions, educating life skills, social practice skills; propaganda, dissemination, and education of the law; free swimming lessons for students in schools...

On the occasion of the 13th Congress of Uncle Ho's Good Children of Lam Dong Province - 2025, the Lam Dong Provincial Youth Union launched the Movement "Lam Dong Children are happy, healthy, study hard, and nurture the green seeds of the country", for the period 2025 - 2030. According to Ms. Tran Diep My Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union, this is a new movement, implemented to build a class of team members and children who actively study, practice, and develop comprehensively in "Virtue - Intelligence - Fitness - Beauty". The movement was launched throughout the province simultaneously on March 24 and spread to 100% of team members and children in a lively, creative, and exciting form, with profound educational significance.

• EVERY CHILD IS A FRAGRANT FLOWER

With the characteristics of a locality with nearly 26% of ethnic minorities, many remote and isolated areas with difficult conditions, the care for children's comprehensive development has also been focused on by the Youth Union at all levels in the province. In the period of 2019 - 2025, the Provincial Youth Union - Youth Union Council of Lam Dong province coordinated to award more than 1,150 scholarships to students in difficult circumstances with a total value of more than 10.2 billion VND; awarded 5 Young Library Models worth more than 110 million VND; supported nearly 120 million VND to repair the Red Scarf House. At the same time, awarded 5 projects for beloved juniors with a cost of more than 280 million VND. Actively mobilized socialized resources to build 8 Toilet projects for children with a total cost of more than 2.8 billion VND in difficult areas in the province.

The program "Lighting up the dreams of Lam Dong children" has been implemented synchronously throughout the province with more than 2,560 activities organized. Since 2024, the Provincial Youth Union has coordinated with the Light and Life Magazine to organize the Sunshine Flower Program with many meaningful and practical activities; awarding many scholarships to students who have overcome difficulties to study well. In addition, the Lam Dong Provincial Children's Council was also established in 2022 with 26 members, and has so far held 4 meetings with topics related to hot issues that children are interested in. Through the meetings, the proposals and recommendations of the members of the Children's Council have been sent to relevant departments, branches, sectors and agencies for response.

In particular, these April days, the grounds of Bao Dai Palace III, Da Lat City have become an attractive tourist destination for many children and team members, as the Space Project "50 years of Da Lat - Lam Dong striving with the aspiration for development" is taking place here. The project was jointly implemented by the Provincial Youth Union - Provincial Young Pioneer Council with many rich contents such as: book space, digital space, music space, art path, local product experience space, etc. Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Young Pioneer Council Tran Diep My Dung said: “The project was implemented on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Lat city as well as the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South, the reunification of the country as a way for Lam Dong youth to express their gratitude to their ancestors and the aspirations of the young generation. The project also sends educational messages of ideals and revolutionary traditions to young pioneers, teenagers and children to continue to strive and strive in studying and training; continuing the proud achievements of the previous generation; cultivating, nurturing and continuing to build in the coming months and years”.
