From 2022 to present, according to the cooperation agreement with the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL), Yakul Vietnam Co., Ltd., Lang Son Branch regularly accompanies trade unions at all levels to take care of union members by sponsoring free milk in a number of programs and events organized by the Provincial Federation of Labor and a number of district federations of labor and industry unions; providing milk at preferential prices for union members; sponsoring gifts for union members in difficult circumstances...
Mr. Nguyen Manh Co, Director of Yakul Vietnam Co., Ltd., Lang Son Branch, said: With the desire to bring benefits to union members as well as spread the value of the product, from 2022 to now, we have sold more than 200,000 bottles of Yakul milk to union members in the province at preferential prices, with a welfare value of about 250 million VND. In addition, we also provide free milk in a number of activities such as blood donation days, workers' month launching ceremonies, sports competitions... organized by the union with over 10,000 bottles/year.
Not only cooperating with Yakul Vietnam Co., Ltd. - Lang Son Branch, from 2022 to present, the Provincial Federation of Labor has regularly maintained and signed more than 20 new coordination programs and cooperation agreements with agencies, units and enterprises such as: Provincial Red Cross Society, Provincial Post Office, MEDLATEC Lang Son Company... in implementing welfare for union members in the whole province. Welfare programs are increasingly diverse with many practical services and products to serve daily consumption needs as well as in line with the legitimate aspirations of the Vietnam Union of Laborers.
Ms. Nguyen Thu Hien, a member of the Trade Union of Lang Son Liquefied Petroleum Gas Trading Company Limited, Cao Loc District, said: In recent years, I have seen that the welfare programs of the trade union have been increasingly expanded. In the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan An Dang" in 2025, I was very excited to receive gifts and have the opportunity to choose to buy many types of items at preferential prices, suitable for my needs.
Along with the Provincial Federation of Labor, the Federations of Labor of some districts and cities are also proactive in connecting and linking to bring about welfare programs for Vietnamese workers in affiliated grassroots unions. Mr. Hoang Thai Lam, Chairman of the Lang Son City Federation of Labor, shared: In addition to implementing welfare programs signed by the Provincial Federation of Labor with units, in 2024, the Lang Son City Federation of Labor signed a cooperation agreement with DK Viet Nhat Electric Vehicle Company Limited, Lang Son Construction Joint Stock Company for the period 2024 - 2027 to bring more welfare values to Vietnamese workers when they need to buy electric vehicles or related to the construction sector.
From the provincial to the district level, welfare activities for union members are increasingly diverse and creative. In addition to activities such as "Union Tet Market", "Tet Sum Vay", etc., from 2024 to present, there has also been the "Union Meal" activity. In addition, welfare programs are not only implemented through gift giving and free distribution, but also in the form of preferential vouchers, online shopping, etc., making it easier for union members to enjoy welfare programs.
Mr. Luong Chi Cong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor, said: We always consider organizing welfare programs for Vietnamese workers as a continuous task. Welfare programs are always implemented through many different activities to expand opportunities for Vietnamese workers to access and enjoy in a fair and effective manner. Therefore, in addition to maintaining existing programs, the Provincial Federation of Labor will continue to seek, connect and coordinate to sign welfare programs to diversify services and preferential products.
With the diversification of welfare programs, the number of employees benefiting tends to increase. Accordingly, in 2023, nearly 2,900 employees benefited, and by 2024, nearly 4,050 employees benefited.
The active association and coordination of trade unions at all levels with units and innovation in organizational forms have helped the Vietnam Workers' Union enjoy more practical benefits. This clearly demonstrates the role of trade unions in representing and protecting the legitimate rights of workers. This is also one of the "keys" to attracting and gathering union members, and building an increasingly strong trade union organization.
