Meta Platforms CEO Mark Zuckerberg has just criticized rival Apple for lacking creativity for a long time.
Specifically, during a nearly 3-hour conversation on the Joe Rogan Podcast, the Facebook boss admitted: "The iPhone is probably one of the most important inventions of all time."
However, he pointed out the harsh reality of the declining sales trend of this product line, evidence that consumers are increasingly hesitant to upgrade to new iPhone products.
"They (Apple) haven't created anything big in a long time. Steve Jobs invented the iPhone and they just sat on that success for 20 years," Zuckerberg shared.

In addition to lacking creativity, Mark also criticized Apple for "sucking blood" from users and partners by charging a commission fee of up to 30% for developers.
Zuckerberg also expressed his displeasure with Apple's efforts to make it difficult for third parties to access iPhone devices. "They launched excellent Airpod products. However, they restricted other parties from developing products with similar compatibility," he said.
Zuckerberg recalls being furious when his Ray-Ban Meta Advanced Smart Glasses, which he had put so much effort into, had trouble connecting to his iPhone.
He accused Apple of "favoring" its accessories to connect easily to devices while leaving competitors "in the dark" about the connection mechanism.
On the podcast, Zuckerberg also shared about the nature of the technology industry.
"The good thing about the technology sector is that it's dynamic, with inventions coming out all the time. I think that if a company doesn't do anything remarkable for a period of 10 years, it will eventually be beaten by some competitor," he said.
Apple has not yet responded to billionaire Mark Zuckerberg's statements.
