
Accordingly, the Manilkara hexandra (Roxb) Dubard tree (scientific name: Manilkara hexandra (Roxb) Dubard) in the grounds of Uncle Dau Ganh's mausoleum in Tra Tay village, Tam My Dong commune (Nui Thanh) is recognized as a "Vietnam Heritage Tree". Vietnam Heritage Trees enjoy preferential conditions according to the regulations of the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment.

According to Mr. Tran Dinh Khanh - Head of Tra Tay village, the Gang Neo tree (locals call it Dau Ganh tree) in the grounds of the tomb of Uncle and Aunt Dau Ganh has existed for a very long time, up to now it is about 700 years old. Local people are very excited because the Gang Neo tree is recognized as a "Vietnam Heritage Tree", so people will continue to protect and preserve this national heritage tree.
