In folk medicine, in addition to being used in fish salad, ginseng leaves are also used to treat coughs, promote urination, promote lactation and severe dysentery.
Some remedies from ginseng
Treat fatigue : Dry and thinly slice 0.5 g of ginseng root, add 100 ml of water, boil for 15 minutes, divide into 2-3 doses to drink during the day.
Clearing milk ducts, engorging breasts : 30-40 g of ginseng root, add 500 ml of water and boil until 250 ml remains. Drink while still warm. Drink for 2-3 days, breast pain will go away, and milk ducts will clear.
Cure back pain and knee pain: Use 20-30g of ginseng stem and branch, boil to get water and divide into 3 times to drink during the day. Can combine with mimosa root, chrysanthemum and licorice vine.
Cure impotence : 12g each of ginseng root, Chinese yam, coix seed, polygonum multiflorum, wolfberry, longan, rice bran; 8g each of buffalo neck and ban long extract; 6g of cardamom. Boil and drink 1 dose per day.
Treatment of hepatitis : 12g of ginseng root; 20g of Chinese clematis root; 16g of coix seed; 12g each of gardenia fruit, Chinese yam, Chinese bean, cogon root, Chinese moneywort, and acanthopanax root; 8g each of uat kim, turmeric, and achyranthes. Boil and drink 1 dose per day.
Treat allergies, measles, cough, dysentery : Boil 10g of dried Polyscias fruticosa leaves with 200ml of water and drink during the day.
Asthma : Take ginseng root, fritillaria, mung bean, white mulberry bark, turmeric, thick-leafed perilla, all 8g; 6g Chinese skullcap, 4g dried ginger, pour 600ml and boil down to 250ml. Divide into 2 doses to drink during the day. Drink while the medicine is still warm.
However, Dr. Vu noted that if you use high doses of ginseng root, you will get drug intoxication and experience fatigue, vomiting, and diarrhea.
