(VTC News) - This peach tree makes an impression at the Tet flower and ornamental plant market on Lac Long Quan street because of its giant size and eye-catching appearance.
Among a row of hundreds of meters long displaying only Nhat Tan peach blossoms on Lac Long Quan street (Tay Ho district, Hanoi), the peach tree stands out, attracting many visitors to admire because of its giant size.
The peach tree is placed in a pot about 2 meters wide, 3 meters long, and half a meter high.
The peach tree has three large, rough and ancient trunks.
"Just looking at the peach tree, you can guess its age as well as its rare, strong vitality," said Mr. Nguyen Quan, a customer, impressed.
Many sophisticated customers also confirm that this is the most classy "peach tree" in Nhat Tan village.
Many passersby stopped to admire the beauty of the giant ancient peach tree.
Ms. Lan Anh, the owner of the tree, said that decades ago, her family “hunted” this peach tree in the forest, in the land of Sapa. She spent a large sum of money to buy and transport it to Hanoi.
After that, the tree was potted and grafted with Nhat Tan peach branches. "At first, the tree only had one root with two large trunks. Then we planted other small trunks, both to make the tree more beautiful and to make it stand more firmly in the pot," said Ms. Lan Anh.
The height of the peach tree is about 2 meters, the entire peach tree trunk on the pot is in the same direction, likened to the shape of a flying dragon.
Although she does not remember the exact weight of the peach tree, Ms. Lan Anh said that to transport it for display, she had to use a crane with a load capacity of 8.5 tons.
Currently, someone has asked to rent a peach blossom pot for Tet for 100 million VND. "The customer is measuring the size of the garden to see if it is big enough to display the peach blossom pot," said Ms. Lan Anh.
Ms. Lan Anh added that although the rental price is up to hundreds of millions of dong, the peach pot is in high demand every year and is one of the first peach pots rented by her customers.
In recent years, the rental price of peach trees has not changed. When asked about the selling price, Ms. Lan Anh said: "If I sell it, I will lose it. There is only one tree, so I have not thought about selling it."
