In an effort to spread the image of Vietnam, its people, culture, goods, and especially agricultural products to a wide range of consumers in Paris (France), the Vietnamese Trade Office in France and the Vietnamese Cultural Center in France are jointly organizing, for the first time, the "Bonjour - Hello Vietnam" festival with partners including Vietnamese associations and businesses in France.

France is a traditional market with a large Vietnamese community that has been studying, living, and working there for many years. In addition, the culture of associations and organizations is also well-developed here, but it lacks a high degree of unity. Therefore, the initiative proposed by the Vietnamese Trade Office in France, along with functional units of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Cultural Center of the Ministry of Culture, aims to connect Vietnamese associations and organizations in France, contributing to the building of a united and strong Vietnamese community in France, and to spread the image of Vietnam, its people, and agricultural products to the local community.

Ngày hội
The "Bonjour - Hello Vietnam" festival, held in France, aims to promote agricultural products and food to French consumers.

To access a new market, the Vietnamese community in the host country always serves as the initial gateway and bridge for Vietnamese goods. In France, it is also thanks to the Vietnamese community that Vietnamese goods have gradually become familiar to French consumers.

However, Mr. Vu Anh Son, Head of the Vietnamese Trade Office in France, stated that the demand for Vietnamese goods in France has gradually stabilized. Therefore, new impetus is needed to stimulate market demand and create new demand for Vietnamese agricultural products. This is also one of the main reasons for the initiative to cooperate between the two agencies representing the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Culture in France.

"We aim to build a common platform to connect and promote the Vietnamese business community in France, thereby building a solid bridge and a sustainable access channel for Vietnamese goods to France," stated the Head of the Vietnamese Trade Office in France. Also, in conjunction with activities promoting unique Vietnamese culture, this year's event focuses on introducing the "flavor of Vietnamese lychees" and other Vietnamese agricultural products to the French community. The event also aims to promote Vietnamese culture and tourism , and introduce distinctive Vietnamese products and goods to international friends in France.

Ngày hội
Through the "Bonjour - Hello Vietnam" event, the Vietnamese Trade Office in France also hopes to create more opportunities for business networking and investment cooperation.

In addition to using this event to introduce Vietnamese cuisine and agricultural products to visitors in Paris, the Vietnamese Trade Office in France also invited partners who are importers and distributors of Vietnamese agricultural products in the French market to strengthen their networks and present a different perspective on Vietnam to buyers.

In 2024, lychee exports to France reached a new milestone in value, with a surge in Vietnamese suppliers. 2024 marked the first time the Vietnamese Trade Office collaborated with the Vietnam Airlines branch in France in a joint effort to export Vietnamese agricultural products to this market. With special support from the national airline in transportation, key Vietnamese businesses imported and distributed nearly 20 tons of lychees to the market, accounting for more than two-thirds of the demand in the Paris metropolitan area.

Besides cultural and artistic activities, the "Bonjour - Hello Vietnam" festival also features food stalls and showcases Vietnamese fruit products, including Vietnam's strengths such as: red lychee, longan, yellow jackfruit, green pomelo, mangosteen, dragon fruit, B304 avocado... along with other typical Vietnamese culinary products.
