The largest bridge construction project in Ho Chi Minh City's Ring Road 3 has had its site clearance bottleneck resolved. The contractor is striving to shorten the construction schedule to complete the project by April 30, 2025.
Today (November 30), Mr. Tran Van Thi - Director of My Thuan Project Management Board - said that the bottleneck in the site clearance at component project 1A of the Tan Van - Nhon Trach section construction investment project (phase 1) of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 has been resolved.
Specifically, Ho Chi Minh City has handed over 100% of the area. Meanwhile, in Dong Nai, the construction unit has accessed 49.21/49.30 hectares, equivalent to 99.82% of the area.
“Thus, the main route has been basically handed over 100%. In addition, the project has 7 public works locations and 6 have been relocated. The remaining locations are expected to be completed in December,” Mr. Thi informed.
Regarding implementation progress, component project 1A started on September 24, 2022, with the contract completion date in September 2025.
The project has 2 packages: CW1 - construction of Nhon Trach bridge, the largest bridge on Ho Chi Minh City's Ring Road 3 with a length of 2,600m, worth 1,618 billion VND; CW2 package - construction of approach roads at both ends of the bridge, 5,620m long, worth 1,071 billion VND.
According to Mr. Thi, the total construction volume of the project has reached 76%. The contractor is striving to shorten the progress to complete the project by April 30, 2025, 4 months ahead of schedule.
Component project 1A Tan Van - Nhon Trach is about 8.22km long, of which 6.3km runs through Dong Nai and 1.92km runs through Ho Chi Minh City with an investment cost of more than VND6,900 billion from Korean ODA loans and Vietnam's counterpart funds.
On the route, there are 2 bridges over the river (Rach Chay bridge is 280m long and Nhon Trach bridge is 2,040m long), 4 overpasses on the approach roads at the intersection with Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway with a total length of about 3,788m.
Construction of Nhon Trach bridge connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Dong Nai started on September 24.
