Nearly 30 years ago, the Thanh Hoa Literature and Arts Association (VHNT) established the Thanh Hoa Female Artists Club with the aim of creating opportunities for women to meet, exchange, learn, share and encourage each other in both creative activities and daily life. During the process of establishment and development, through many practical and meaningful activities, the Club attracted a large number of members to participate, truly a gathering place for female artists with abundant enthusiasm and creativity, always wishing to contribute to the development of their homeland.
Discussion on Thanh Hoa female artists who participated in serving on the battlefield during the anti-American war to save the country, organized by Thanh Hoa female artists' club.
The Thanh Hoa Female Artists Club was established in 1995, under the Thanh Hoa Literature and Arts Association. It is known that the idea of establishing the Club came from the love, attachment, and desire to continue contributing to the province's cultural and artistic activities of a number of female artists of the theater department. They were the ones who brought their songs, voices, and performances to all fronts and battlefields during the anti-American war to cheer and encourage soldiers to fight enthusiastically. In the early days of its establishment, the Club had 25 members, mainly female members of the literature department, poetry department, and theater department... At that time, the Club's activities were limited to meetings, cultural and artistic exchanges, sharing with each other their cherished plans, opinions in professional activities; whispering to each other about family matters, daily matters in life.
Throughout the history of the country, the image of Vietnamese women as “Heroic, indomitable, loyal, and capable” has become a beautiful symbol. Promoting that spirit, after nearly 30 years of operation, the Thanh Hoa Women Artists Club has continuously developed in both the number of participating members and the quality of activities. Currently, the Club has more than 100 female members who are active in 11 specialized departments of the Thanh Hoa Literature and Arts Association, working in many different units and many members have retired. The age of the members ranges from 28 to nearly 80, but they are always enthusiastic, passionate, and attached to the creative activities of literature and arts and the activities of the Club.
Over the years, the Club has constantly innovated its content and methods of operation to promote the potential and creativity of its members, contributing to enriching the cultural and spiritual life of all classes of people in and outside the province. The greatest goal in the life of an artist, regardless of male or female, is to create works. Deeply aware of that, members of the Thanh Hoa Female Artists Club have constantly strived, tried, and worked hard on the journey of artistic creation, achieving many remarkable results. The Club has many members who have won the annual Literature and Arts Award of the Thanh Hoa Literature and Arts Association, Literature and Arts Awards of the central government, ministries and branches. Many female artists have won medals at festivals, performances, exhibitions, etc.
Along with professional activities, the outstanding feature of the female artists' club is the regular organization of seminars; organizing many creative field trips. In the past time, the club has organized 10 seminars with close, lively and practical topics such as: Thanh Hoa female artists studying Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; Thanh Hoa female artists who are good at national affairs and good at housework; the image of women in the literary works of Thanh Hoa female writers; "confident, self-respecting, loyal and responsible" female artists; Thanh Hoa female artists participating in serving the battlefield during the time of fighting against the US to save the country; The image of Muong women in the literary works of female writer Ha Thi Cam Anh; The image of a doctor like a gentle mother in Hong Van's poetry...
With the attention of the leaders of the Thanh Hoa Literature and Arts Association, every year, the Thanh Hoa Artists Club organizes creative field trips to localities in the province. Writer Vien Lan Anh, Head of the Thanh Hoa Female Artists Club, shared: “The trips are an opportunity for female artists to get closer to the grassroots, to be close to the breath and reality of life, to closely follow the political tasks of the province, thereby inspiring the creation of quality works, leaving a deep impression on readers. At the same time, the field trips create conditions for members to exchange, learn, recite poems, tell stories, and perform special art performances, thereby strengthening solidarity, love, attachment and sharing in the field of creation as well as in life”.
Anyone who has ever attended activities, discussions or met and interacted with the club members will fully understand the closeness and solidarity of these women. Anyone who has ever read prose and poetry, watched performances, listened to singing and playing instruments and looked at paintings and architecture of the club members will be impressed by the talent and creativity of the female artists from Thanh Hoa.
Although there are still difficulties and challenges, the close relationship, love, respect for each other and the efforts to contribute and create will be the premise and motivation for the Club to continue to develop, so that the Thanh Hoa Female Artists Club can truly be a place to meet, share and inspire creativity.
