Speaking at the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue said that the establishment of the Vietnam Women Journalists Club is a very correct policy. Appreciating the organization and practical results that the Vietnam Women Journalists Club has achieved over the past 20 years, the National Assembly Chairman warmly commended and congratulated the Vietnam Journalists Association and the Vietnam Women Journalists Club in particular.
The National Assembly always attaches importance to the work of the press in the activities of the National Assembly and its agencies. The Chairman of the National Assembly stated that the National Assembly of all terms has attached great importance to the role of the press, especially elected bodies from the central to local levels, which also have representatives from press agencies. The National Assembly itself is an elected body, a representative body of the people, so the press itself is a very solid and regular bridge. The press plays a very important role in the interaction between the National Assembly and the people and voters. "I personally and my comrades in the Party Delegation of the National Assembly, the Secretary General of the National Assembly, and the Office of the National Assembly have supported and created the most favorable conditions for the activities of the press, both at the central and local levels, in relation to the activities of the National Assembly," the Chairman of the National Assembly affirmed.
On this occasion, the National Assembly Chairwoman shared information about the Dien Hong Award - the National Press Award for the National Assembly and People's Councils, and requested the Vietnam Women Journalists Club to actively participate and respond.

Based on the analysis of the domestic and international situation in the coming time, the National Assembly Chairman respectfully requested that our country's journalists need to fully and more deeply grasp the viewpoint that the press is a sharp weapon and an effective tool of the Party on the ideological front.
“When talking about Vietnamese revolutionary journalism, there must be Vietnamese revolutionary journalists. Vietnamese revolutionary journalists must have revolutionary spirit. Vietnamese journalists must have the Vietnamese spirit that has been forged over thousands of years.
In any situation, Vietnamese revolutionary journalists need to be extremely calm, alert, unwavering, and always steadfast in order to contribute to the renovation process launched and led by our Party. At the same time, we must strengthen the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, resolutely fight against erroneous and hostile viewpoints; actively fight against corruption, negativity, and waste, fight to eliminate the wrong and the bad, protect the right and the good, for the common cause of the country and the people," said the National Assembly Chairman.
Regarding Vietnamese female journalists, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue quoted the comment of the Secretary General of the International Federation of Democratic Women during a study trip to the Vietnamese women's movement in 1968: Vietnamese women are like soft mops. But they are steel mops. From there, the National Assembly Chairman suggested: Is it possible that Vietnamese female journalists, in addition to possessing all the qualities of Vietnamese women, also have their own unique characteristics? The Vietnamese Women Journalists Club should research this topic in the coming time to have a summary of both theory and practice.

The National Assembly Chairman also hopes that the press will effectively contribute to the formation of healthy public opinion; building the mettle, intelligence, soul and spirit of the Vietnamese people in the new era. Information in the press must be highly topical, healthy, practical, combative, and orient public opinion; promptly summarize and disseminate good experiences, good lessons, praise, honor and spread, and replicate new factors and advanced models. The press must truly become a bridge between the Party, the State, the National Assembly and the people.
It is known that after more than 20 years of operation, the Vietnam Women Journalists Club has had many effective, useful activities, diverse in form and content, with identity, from professional work to humanitarian and charitable movements, with influence, respected by the press and the social community.
Many journalistic works of members of the Vietnam Women Journalists Club are valuable, clearly reflecting the breath of life, actively contributing to the cause of innovation and development of the country.
