Tay Ninh amateur music club holds its first regular meeting

On the evening of April 3, at Phuoc Lac Duyen Vegetarian Restaurant (Ninh Thanh Ward, Tay Ninh City), Tay Ninh Amateur Music Club held its first regular meeting. Attending were Mr. Nguyen Nam Giang - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Here, the club members performed 20 traditional songs of the traditional music genre. In addition, vọng cổ songs and cải lương excerpts praising the homeland, the country, and building new rural areas were also performed by the artists, enriching the program.

The club meets once a month. In addition, when tours to Tay Ninh or the province's art activities have a need to enjoy Don Ca Tai Tu, the Provincial Tourism Association will organize performances to bring the representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity closer to everyone.

Tay Ninh Don Ca Tai Tu Club, under the Provincial Tourism Association, was established in early March 2025 with 12 members. The club was established with the desire to create a useful playground, thereby preserving and promoting the value of this intangible cultural heritage of humanity. The establishment of the club also contributes to diversifying the province's tourism products, striving to make tourism a key economic sector of the province by 2030.

Don ca tai tu is a typical folk art form of the Southern region, recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity. Tay Ninh is one of 23 southern provinces honored to have this art form.
