A 3-year-old boy in Strasburg town (Colorado state, USA) has just been praised for bravely walking in the dark night to find a way to save his great-grandmother who had fallen.
The incident happened last month when Bridger Peabody was staying with his great-grandmother Sharon Lewis when she fell and hit her head on a concrete step. His parents were then taken to the hospital to care for her.
"We went into the backyard and went to the door to get the keys and I kind of tripped over something there," 9 News quoted Ms. Lewis as saying.
Little Bridger was more precise in his account of the moment. “She fell on the porch. She hit her head and her head split open!” she said.
Mrs. Lewis was bleeding profusely from her forehead and could not get up so she called the neighbors for help, but no one was there.
Because her cell phone was in the car, she asked Bridger to go get it for her. "I told him he had to go to the car and get my phone. He said it was too dark so I told him to be brave and God would help him," she said.

Security camera footage from the family's home shows the adorable boy walking to the car, saying to himself "don't be scared, don't be scared". Bridger walks in the dark to the car, opens the driver's side door and shouts with joy when he finds the phone.
“Oh, I did it,” the boy shouted, bringing the phone to his grandmother so she could call for help. Shortly afterwards, Mrs. Lewis was taken to hospital, where she was diagnosed with a concussion and required 22 stitches.
Looking back, she said she didn't know what she would do if Bridger hadn't been there. She said she called Bridger a hero, but he didn't understand what the word meant.
"I said, 'You're a hero.' He said no, he's Bridger. I don't think he knows what a hero is, but he's definitely a hero. He's a blessing," she shared.
