On June 6, the Waterway Traffic Police Department (PC08B, Ho Chi Minh City Police) handed over 5 subjects and evidence to the Traffic Police Department, Dong Nai Provincial Police to investigate the act of illegally pumping and dredging sand on the Dong Nai River.
Previously, at around 11 p.m. on June 5, Department PC08B, Ho Chi Minh City Police Department and Traffic Police Department, Dong Nai Province Police Department coordinated to patrol and prevent sand mining on the Dong Nai River, the border area between Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai Province.

When arriving at the Nhon Trach bridge construction site (Tan Tuong hamlet, Long Tan commune, Nhon Trach, Dong Nai province), the authorities discovered three vehicles illegally mining sand. The task force gave orders and approached to inspect, but one vehicle did not comply, started the boat engine and fled.
Pursued by the patrol team, the subjects sank their vehicle and jumped into the river to swim to shore to escape.
However, the traffic police promptly handled the situation, prevented the vehicle from sinking and brought it to shore.
The authorities also arrested 5 suspects and seized 3 boats and nearly 20 cubic meters of sand.

Also during the peak period of the month of action against drugs, on the evening of June 4, Dong Tranh Waterway Police Station (Department PC08B) coordinated with Tam Thon Hiep Commune Police (Can Gio District, Ho Chi Minh City) to check people on water vehicles in the Cau Do area (An Phuoc Hamlet, Tam Thon Hiep Commune). Through the inspection, the Traffic Police discovered that Ng.PH (born in 2006, residing in Can Gio District) tested positive for drugs.
