On July 18, Phu My Water Supply Joint Stock Company (Phumy Wasuco) sent a document to the Management Board of Industrial Parks of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province about completely stopping water supply to My Xuan A2 Industrial Park - the investor is Formosa International Development Company Limited (FIDC).
According to Phumy Wasuco, because FIDC owes tens of billions of dong in unpaid water bills, this unit has filed a lawsuit at a competent court. While waiting for the lawsuit to be resolved, if the water supply continues but the water bill is not paid, it will cause financial difficulties and affect the business's operations.
Therefore, to ensure sufficient water supply for residents and other industrial parks, Phumy Wasuco is forced to cut off water to My Xuan A2 Industrial Park, expected to be implemented from 4:00 p.m. on July 22.
It is known that on July 1, Phumy Wasuco filed a lawsuit against FIDC with the People's Court of Phu My Town. In the lawsuit, in addition to requesting FIDC to pay the outstanding water bill, Phumy Wasuco also requested the Court to apply emergency measures to temporarily hand over the water supply system in My Xuan A2 Industrial Park to Phumy Wasuco for operation and management and sign a contract to collect money directly from investors to ensure stable water supply.
However, this content was not approved, but only FIDC's account blocking measure was applied.
