Ha Long Carnival 2025 promises many attractions

Ha Long Carnival 2025 will continue to have many different highlights compared to previous years.

Ha Long Carnival 2025 takes place at 8:00 p.m. on May 1 in Bai Chay Ward, with the gathering of thousands of actors, professional artists, international art troupes, and artisans. With the theme: "Ha Long Carnival 2025 - Connecting heritage, pioneering the shine", the program consists of 4 parts, including: Opening art program; Ha Long Carnival grand ball; DJ performance; high-altitude fireworks display.

The highlight of the program is the convergence of intangible heritages across the three regions, honoring national identity on the background of world natural wonders combined with modern technologies such as: 3D mapping, laser, light show. The Ha Long Carnival 2025 grandstand is also the largest designed grandstand ever with a total of 15,000 seats to serve the people and tourists (an increase of 5,000 seats compared to 2024).

Ha Long City People's Committee works with relevant units to review the progress of the Ha Long Carnival 2025 Program.

In order to ensure the success of the program and the safety of visitors, Ha Long City has developed a plan and program script early on. At the same time, it has established a festival organizing committee, service subcommittees, and held weekly meetings to review progress with related units, thereby promptly having solutions to any problems that arise.

Accordingly, to ensure security, traffic safety, and fire prevention before, during, and after the Carnival, Ha Long City has developed a master plan and sent it to the Provincial Police and related units to develop a plan for security and order, and logistics reception to ensure service for the program. Due to the specificity of no longer having district-level police, the Provincial Police has assigned the Foreign Security Department to preside over and coordinate with professional departments and related forces to participate in ensuring security and order at locations inside and outside the festival area. In particular, to ensure traffic plans, the Provincial Police Traffic Police force has also developed a plan, coordinated with departments, offices, and local authorities to increase patrols, control, handle violations, and regulate traffic... at entertainment venues. It is expected that nearly 1,000 officers and soldiers will participate in the Ha Long Carnival 2025 (in 2024, about 600 officers and soldiers will participate in the task).

Along with the work of ensuring security and order, at this time, Ha Long City has also planned in detail medical plans to be implemented synchronously in the festival areas, training areas, as well as the delegates' accommodation. Particularly at the training and festival sites, 3-6 medical teams will be arranged. The City Health Department has also established an inspection team to review food safety assurance at restaurants, hotels, and accommodation establishments in the area, mainly focusing on wards with a large number of tourists staying.

Regarding the power supply for the event, Ha Long City Electricity has conducted a comprehensive inspection of transformer stations, handled defects and points at risk of heat generation on the power lines. Strengthened inspection of the safety corridor of the high-voltage power grid and handled underground cables supplying power to central areas. At the same time, a detailed power supply scenario was developed for the areas where entertainment activities took place and where tourists stayed in the city. Notably, especially important locations (Carnaval stage area, delegates' accommodation...) were all supplied with power by the unit using two sources: grid power and backup generators.

Regarding the rehearsal and stage installation, according to the plan from April 18 to 27, the units will organize the gathering of vehicles and equipment, proceed to assemble the stage, stands, construct model cars and other related items. The rehearsal will also be carried out in parallel according to the approved scenario. On April 25, the city will coordinate with relevant departments and branches to appraise the stands, stages, and check the electrical system. From April 28 to 30, the preliminary review, final rehearsal and completion of the entire Ha Long Carnival 2025 program will be carried out according to the plan.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Son, Vice Chairman of Ha Long City People's Committee, said: Based on existing experience, Ha Long City will carefully prepare all the work and content of the Carnaval. Especially when this is the last program that Ha Long City organizes before dissolving at the district level. Up to now, all preparations for Ha Long Carnaval 2025 are basically following the plan and scenario, ready for a grand, unique, special program that bears the mark of Quang Ninh people with many different highlights to send to domestic and foreign tourists.
