On the morning of April 8, in Ha Long city (Quang Ninh), the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province held a press conference to inform about the socio-economic situation in the first quarter of 2024 and key tasks in the second quarter of 2024.

Regarding the organization of the Ha Long Carnival Festival - one of the important highlights in the socio-cultural activities of Quang Ninh in 2024 - Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Son, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Long City, said: The program has the theme "Light up with Wonders", scheduled to be held at 8:00 p.m. on April 28 at the Ocean Park area (Bai Chay ward, Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province).

This is a program directed by the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee and the Standing Committee of the Ha Long City Party Committee, chaired by the Ha Long City People's Committee, with the coordination of departments, branches, and sectors, and the support of corporations and service and tourism enterprises.

Compared to 2023, the program has many new features, expected to attract the attention of domestic and foreign tourists. In addition to the new feature of organizing live performances and parades on the beach and on the water of Ha Long Bay, Ha Long Carnival 2024 also has the participation of many international art troupes from Hokkaido (Japan), Guangxi (China), Laos, Thailand and European artists.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Son added: “The performance stage harmoniously combines onshore and at sea, with hundreds of ships and boats mobilized to participate in the parade. The program also uses many drones to form formations, shoot fireworks and project modern lighting...”.

In terms of content, Ha Long Carnival 2024 will include 5 performances: Ha Long Legend, Fishing Village, Commercial Port, Ha Long Carnival Heritage Dance, Shining with Wonders.

According to the Organizing Committee, Ha Long Carnival 2024 is built and inspired by 6 core values ​​in the value system of Quang Ninh province. It focuses on the values ​​of beautiful nature, unique culture, developed economy, emphasizing the marine economy and especially the value of happy people. Through that, we hope to send to the people of the whole country and international friends a message about the wonders, heritages, and people of Ha Long land (Quang Ninh).

Also at the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Son said: Besides the Ha Long Carnival 2024 event, Quang Ninh province also organizes a series of 11 cultural, sports and tourism activities on the occasion of April 30 and May 1 holidays, in Ha Long city.

One of the new features of the program series is the Beer and Squid Cake Festival, held for the first time from April 27 to May 1. During the program, the Organizing Committee will set a record for the largest piece of squid cake in Vietnam, weighing 200kg and 2m in diameter. In addition, the series of 11 cultural, sports and tourism activities of the province also has many attractive programs, such as: Opening of the walking street, cuisine of Bai Chay ward; Festival of Zumba clubs in Ha Long city in 2024; Festival of Duc Ong Tran Quoc Nghien Temple; health care performances of the Health Care Clubs and Tai Chi Truong Sinh Dao in 2024; Kite flying festival...
