Capella Hanoi and InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort continue to affirm their position when honored by Condé Nast Traveler - a prestigious travel magazine.
The prestigious American travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler (CN Traveler) recently published an article listing the best hotels in Vietnam based on independent reviews by its team of editors and reporters.
According to CN Traveler, if in the past the hotel service industry in Vietnam was not highly appreciated like Indonesia or Thailand, in recent years, resorts in Vietnam have made many neighboring Southeast Asian countries "follow suit". " With a long coastline lined with coconut trees in the East of the country and a rich and interesting culture, resorts in Vietnam have a lot of "material" to become unique ", CN Traveler commented.
“ From a luxurious 1920s-style hideaway in Hanoi to a boutique resort on the southeast coast – these are the best hotels in Vietnam for 2025 ,” the prestigious American magazine suggests in an interesting list when mentioning Capella Hanoi and resorts in the south of the country.
Capella Hanoi - a masterpiece that even Gatsby would be jealous of
“ In an era where hotels are minimalist and use beige as the main color, Hanoi's latest luxurious masterpiece is a fresh and different note ”, CN Traveler introduces Capella Hanoi.
Under the talented hands of architect "wizard" Bill Bensley, the golden age of opera in the 1920s is brilliantly recreated. From the hotel lobby decorated with stage props and murals simulating scenes of paparazzi flashing lights, to the 47 rooms, all of which are unique masterpieces, named after famous actors, singers and screenwriters in the opera world such as Sarah Bernhardt, Eleonora Duse, Lina Cavalieri... - every detail at Capella Hanoi is unique and bears the mark of luxurious Art Deco architecture. " The luxury makes Mr. Gatsby jealous ", commented CN Traveler.
Another highlight of Capella Hanoi is its system of high-end and impressive restaurants. Hibana by Koki is a teppanyaki restaurant awarded 1 Michelin star, while Backstage and Izakaya restaurants are on the Michelin Selected list. Coming to Capella Hanoi, visitors will have a true "taste" adventure.
For breakfast, try Backstage, with its bread, handmade bubble tea and pho by Anh Tuyet – a culinary artist loved by chef Anthony Bourdain. If you want to eat while enjoying a panoramic view of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, choose The Hudson Rooms with caviar and chilled oysters reminiscent of 1920s New York…
The American magazine also praised Capella Hanoi for winning the hearts of tourists with its unique bar Diva's Lounge. Located right on the first floor lobby, Diva's Lounge stands out with its Bordeaux red velvet curtains like a cozy little stage. " Amidst the hustle and bustle of Hoan Kiem district and the Old Quarter, you will still want to set foot in Diva's Lounge at sunset, where every day a female diva in sparkling costumes awaits ", CN Traveler's writers described.
Not only is Capella Hanoi on the list of top hotels in Vietnam, it also scored a “double” when it was honored by CN Traveler magazine as the best hotel for a trip to Hanoi in 2025. Since its launch, Capella Hanoi has continuously affirmed its appeal in the luxury hotel sector, winning a series of prestigious awards around the world.
InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort - the most prominent resort in Danang
Nestled among the lush green hills of Son Tra Peninsula, Da Nang is considered the Riviera of Vietnam, where dense forests intermingle with ancient pagodas. Located in this beautiful location is the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort – the resort that CN Traveler ranked the most outstanding resort in Da Nang – an extraordinary and passionate feat of construction. Just 30 minutes from Da Nang airport, InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort gives visitors the feeling of entering another world, isolated and peaceful.
Architect Bill Bensley created a unique blend of indigenous architecture and Indochinese architectural style. The resort has 197 rooms and villas, arranged on a stratified terrain with four levels: sea, land, sky, and paradise and visitors need to use the Nam Tram “mountain train” to move.
This is a unique mountain railway, with carriages shaped like traditional basket boats, each decorated with a monkey mascot on the handlebars. This is considered an ideal check-in point that visitors cannot miss when visiting the resort.
At InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, guests’ relaxation is absolutely enhanced. “ The bedrooms are spacious, with direct views of the sea and sky, filled with light and extremely smart design ,” commented CN Traveler. Not only that, the editorial team of the American magazine also praised the resort’s bathrooms, comparing the bathtubs to “big enough for you to swim.”
Since its opening in 2012, InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort has been continuously praised by international media. The resort has welcomed thousands of visitors from all over the world, achieved excellent culinary awards, and become the venue for many memorable events including the World Leaders Summit and famous billionaire weddings. Being honored by CN Traveler again proves that, after 13 years of launching, InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort still maintains the appeal of a leading resort masterpiece in Vietnam.
