| According to Tien Phong newspaper, this year's Ha Long flower fair gathers about 220 booths to serve the people of the coastal city. The booths have an area of 20-25 m2 and are divided into many sub-areas running from the planning and exhibition hall of the province to the October 30 Square located right next to the OCOP Fair of Quang Ninh province taking place. |

| This orchid tree costs about 300 million VND and attracts the attention of visitors. The owner of the orchid garden said that he stacked about 600 orchid trees divided into 6 different types on the driftwood trunk. |

| “Someone offered me 250 million VND but I haven’t sold yet. This year’s fair in Quang Ninh has 2 selling points for my orchid garden. I brought about 15 thousand plants, some of which were flown here to serve people celebrating Tet,” the orchid garden owner shared. |

| The highlight of this year’s Ha Long spring flower market is a pair of pen pine trees, which the gardener quoted as being priced at 1.2 billion and 1.5 billion VND respectively. According to the gardener, the pair of pine trees were transported here by car from Lam Dong. Many people who love ornamental plants were surprised by the price of these two masterpieces. |

| “These two trees originated from the French period, with ancient roots, one of which was carved from driftwood, each about 1 meter tall, shaped like a tiger and an eagle spreading its wings. These are super products, so buyers are picky because it also depends on the location of the house,” said a representative of Phuong Chau garden, the owner of the two pine trees. |

| In addition, this year's flower market also featured many pots of faded peach trees with less ancient petals. These peach trees are shaped in strange shapes and are priced up to tens of millions of VND per tree. |

| However, gardens with ancient peach trees are mainly visited by people to see and take pictures. Most people still choose kumquat trees and small peach trees to display during Tet. |

| According to some long-time ornamental plant vendors at the fair, this year's purchasing power is expected to drop sharply because the city's residents have just experienced storm number 3, which has severely affected the economy. |

| “Usually, people only come here to shop for Tet after the 23rd of December or after the last working day. In my experience, flower traders make profits or losses depending on the last two days,” said Mr. Quan, owner of Nhat Tan peach garden. |

| According to the representative of Ha Long city, the flower fair will last until the afternoon of the 29th of Tet, the whole city has 8 spring flower market locations with 500 booths serving the people. The spring flower market locations all ensure the requirements of security, order, traffic safety, fire prevention and fighting and environmental sanitation; reserve suitable areas for parking vehicles for visitors to visit and shop. |
