This deer with a pair of "huge" antlers was bought and raised by Mr. Pham Minh Vuong's family (born in 1963, Thien Nhan village, Son Tien commune, Huong Son) 8 years ago. This is a healthy deer, well cared for, so the first time it had antlers weighing 1.3 kg/pair with 6 branches, the following years it got bigger and had more branches. This year, the deer had a pair of antlers weighing 4.12 kg, 56 cm long, with many buds and was just sold for 52 million VND.

The pair of velvet was cut and sold for 52 million VND.

Mr. Pham Minh Vuong said: "My family raises 13 deer, earning about 350 million VND each year from selling breeds and antlers. When hearing that our family had a precious deer, many people came to buy it at a very high price, some offered up to 350 million VND, but I did not sell it. I consider it a valuable asset, take good care of it in the hope that next year it will give a larger pair of antlers."
