In the spirit of openness and transparency, Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) has publicly posted and regularly updated information on the status of procedures for implementing transitional renewable energy projects.

EVN said that after the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 21/QD-BCT dated January 7, 2023 on regulations on the price framework for transitional solar and wind power plants, the Electricity Trading Company (under EVN) sent documents to investors requesting to send documents to have parameters for calculating and negotiating electricity prices.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade and EVN have also held many conferences with project investors to discuss and resolve difficulties and problems related to documents, procedures, and procedures for negotiating electricity prices, electricity purchase contracts, etc. EVN has also issued procedures and processes according to regulations publicly and transparently and sent them to investors.
In the spirit of actively implementing the Prime Minister's direction, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and EVN have recently made great efforts and focused on removing difficulties and obstacles with the goal of bringing renewable energy projects to the grid early while still ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
According to EVN's Electricity Trading Company, up to now, 19 projects (or parts of projects) have had their temporary prices approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and have signed power purchase agreements (PPA).

In addition, there are 16 grid-connected projects that have been and are being tested; of which 5 projects have completed testing and are carrying out commercial operation procedures to generate commercial electricity.
19 projects have been accepted by competent State management agencies for the entire plant/part of the plant; 26 projects have been granted electricity operation licenses for the entire plant/part of the plant.
However, up to now, there are still 32/85 projects, with a total capacity of 1,576.05 MW, that have not yet submitted documents to the Power Trading Company to negotiate electricity prices and power purchase contracts.
