It is known that, in the face of the complicated developments of storm No. 3 Yagi, the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue of the Border Guard of Thanh Hoa province has directed 4 Storm Information Stations to regularly notify, call and guide ships operating at sea to know the location and direction of the storm to proactively avoid and not enter dangerous areas; direct units to supplement plans for natural disaster prevention, search and rescue; organize flare firing when ordered; organize counting and call ships operating to safe shelters; coordinate to help people prevent natural disasters, move ships and rafts to safe places.
Thanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard Command also strictly maintains standing troops, vehicles, and materials, ready to handle situations on the spot and mobilize support when ordered.
The unit also directed the coastal units and the Command to maintain 100% of the standing troops, ready to mobilize to support and handle situations on the spot when they occur; organize forces to go to the area to help people prevent natural disasters; maintain 2 ships BP 05-98-01, BP 05-13-01 and boat BP 05-15-01 on standby ready to mobilize ; direct 2 units to organize the firing of storm warning flares in accordance with Decision No. 18/2021/QD-TTg dated April 22, 2021 of the Prime Minister to ensure safety.
Regarding the results of calling and counting boats, by 5:00 a.m. on September 6, Thanh Hoa province had called on 5,398 vehicles and 14,854 workers to anchor at the province's ports and neighboring localities.
Currently, the number of vehicles and workers remaining at sea is 274 vehicles and 1,296 workers. The operating vehicles have grasped information about the dangerous area and regularly keep in touch with the authorities, families, and local authorities 1-2 times/day.
