Students admitted to public 10th grade need to enroll online from July 4 to 12, one week earlier than planned.
On the afternoon of July 3, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City announced the 10th grade benchmark scores of 108 public schools.
Candidates access the Department's 10th grade admission portal to confirm enrollment before 5:00 p.m. on July 12, using the provided account and password.
If candidates do not want to study at a public school but at a private school, they can choose "confirm not submitting application (studying at a non-public school)". After this time, those who do not confirm will be considered to have abandoned their admission wishes.
The Department notes that each profile can only be confirmed once. Therefore, students and parents should consider carefully before proceeding.
At the end of this process, the Department can organize additional recruitment for schools that are still short of enrollment quotas. Candidates who fail all three wishes can register for admission.
From July 17-31, candidates submit their applications directly to the school they have been admitted to.
Admission documents include:
- Grade 10 exam result report (at the secondary school where the candidate studies).
- Birth certificate.
- Secondary school diploma (or temporary secondary school graduation certificate).
- Original transcript.
- Application form for junior high school graduation exam for the 2022-2023 school year and entrance exam for grade 10 for the 2023-2024 school year.
The 10th grade public exam in Ho Chi Minh City took place on June 6-7, with more than 98,000 candidates. Of these, more than 77,300 students were given places in public schools, with an admission rate of about 80%.
The admission score for non-specialized high schools is the total score of Literature, Math, Foreign Language and priority points (if any). For specialized schools, the score is the total score of Mathematics, Literature, Foreign Language plus the specialized subject score multiplied by two. For Thanh An island commune, Can Gio district, admission to grade 10 is based on selection.
