Every year from February to August is the clam harvest season, traders hire workers to harvest clams according to the tide. When the sun sets, the tide recedes. Workers prepare their personal belongings to go to the beach: hand rakes, raincoats, headlamps, drinking water... they are indispensable on their person, the group of workers set off 5km to the clam hut. When the sea water recedes, it is also midnight, the workers start harvesting, some rake, some collect, some wash, some classify, some pack, each person does their job. After 4am, the tide rises, everyone brings clams onto the boat for the traders. Finishing the work, they quickly leave before dawn.

Clam raking brings a stable income, so many women in coastal areas participate in this job every day. Just like that, the daily life of the people here seems to blend with the sound of the waves of the ocean. Tomorrow, when the tide recedes, a new life at the estuary begins again.
