In the Black Jelly production facility in Tuc Nga village, Duc Xuan commune (Thach An, Cao Bang ), Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong and dozens of workers are busy producing Black Jelly and packaging the products to send to customers who order online in many provinces and cities. This facility has been in operation for nearly ten years, creating jobs for dozens of workers, and each year consuming dozens of tons of raw materials to make Black Jelly locally.

To be able to maintain and develop this facility, Ms. Huong has to work every day to update information online, sell products online to customers, and search for and exploit market information and fair information, in order to bring her goods to customers and new markets.

Sharing with PNVN Newspaper reporter, Ms. Huong said: "Working in the Black Jelly business today, the important thing is to make products that meet quality standards and ensure food safety and hygiene, along with accessing market information and customer information to be able to bring products to the market. Every day, I have to update information, both posting information promoting my products on social networking sites, e-commerce platforms, and at the same time exploiting information related to the market, such as newly opened supermarket systems, product promotion fair programs, etc., to bring products to customers. If we do not continuously update information, it will be very difficult to develop, so to maintain production, I think information is still the most important."

In particular, some large supermarkets in Hanoi and Hai Phong have imported Ms. Huong's Black Jelly very regularly. Thanks to her tireless efforts, on February 20, 2023, her commercial Black Jelly product was granted OCOP certification by the Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee, achieving a 3-star product rating.

Since then, Ms. Huong's production facility has entered a new phase, with more orders and more production output. Regarding quality, Ms. Huong also pays more attention to ensuring that the products delivered to consumers are always of high quality and ensure food hygiene and safety.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet Minh, Vice President of the Cao Bang Provincial Women's Union, said: Every year, the Provincial Women's Union actively supports the promotion of Ms. Huong's Black Jelly products and those of many other production establishments in the district, thanks to which the Thach An District Black Jelly brand is increasingly known to many customers. Ms. Nguyen Thu Que, owner of a convenience store in Bach Dang ward (Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi), said: “I learned about Ms. Huong's Black Jelly product in particular and Thach An district in general through the fair, from the booth organized by the Cao Bang Provincial Women's Union. I found that their products are all of good quality and highly appreciated by consumers. Since then, my store has regularly imported goods for sale. Transactions are also very convenient, everything is done through Zalo, how much to buy and sell, what is the price, when we close the order, they will send the goods to us, then we pay by bank transfer, in general, thanks to the development of information, everything is much more convenient than before".

Thach An district is a very large area specializing in growing black jelly (also known as grass jelly or water bird), with an annual output of up to thousands of tons. Establishments like Ms. Huong's family also contribute to the consumption of a significant amount of black jelly raw materials for local farmers each year. Thanks to that, Ms. Huong not only develops her family's economy but also contributes to economic development and poverty reduction in the locality.
