Cao Bang: Voters agree with the policy of streamlining the apparatus and merging administrative units at all levels.

National Assembly deputies of Cao Bang province met with voters in Hong Nam and Quang Trung communes.

At the meeting, the Delegation informed voters about the expected program of the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly. Accordingly, the 9th Session will be held in 2 phases (phase 1 from May 5 to 28; phase 2 from June 11 to 28). At this session, the National Assembly will consider and pass 30 laws and 7 resolutions, including the amendment of the 2013 Constitution and many laws that have a direct impact on the fields of life, economy and society such as: Law on Organization of Local Government (amended), Law on Teachers, Law on Special Consumption Tax (amended), Law on Employment (amended), etc.; give opinions on 6 draft laws and consider and decide on many other important issues, the work of arranging and organizing the apparatus, developing the economy and society, developing the country, especially the Project on arranging administrative units and organizing 2-level local governments, etc.

At the meeting, voters of the two communes basically agreed with the policy of streamlining the apparatus and merging administrative units at all levels according to the Central Government's policy. However, voters still had concerns about the regime and policies for redundant cadres and non-professional cadres at the commune level, the rearrangement of the number of cadres and civil servants; and the settlement of administrative procedures after the merger.

Accordingly, voters recommended: the authorities direct Hong Nam Hydropower Company to promptly resolve the construction of hydropower dam pillars, temporary bridge pillars and discharge of soil into the river, changing the flow, causing landslides, damaging the cultivated land and crops of 2 households in Song Bang hamlet, Hong Nam commune; consider resolving the area for gathering soil and rocks mixed with nickel - copper ore on the land of a household in Na Lai hamlet, Quang Trung commune; arrange the commune headquarters after the merger in a central location as well as survey and develop plans to connect traffic routes, creating convenience for people to come to resolve procedures at the commune; consider converting some protective forest land into production land; compensate for the natural forest area affected by the Nickel - copper ore factory construction project; invest in building additional telecommunications infrastructure in some hamlets that do not have mobile networks, internet...

Voters of Hong Nam commune (Hoa An) made recommendations at the meeting.

The provincial National Assembly Delegation receives opinions and recommendations from voters; at the same time, shares and discusses further issues that voters are interested in. The contents of voters' recommendations will be compiled by the provincial National Assembly Delegation and forwarded to specialized agencies for consideration and resolution.
