The investigation determined that Nhu participated in many closed groups on social networks Zalo and Facebook about giving and donating adopted children with many different accounts and names. When someone contacted her, Nhu would sell newborn babies to those who wanted to buy them for 35 million to 60 million VND/baby. Thereby, she illegally profited from the difference and was willing to make documents such as birth certificates, DNA confirmation papers, birth certificates, etc. to legalize the origin of the babies for those who wanted to buy them.

During the extended investigation, 7 newborn babies were found and identified as being sold. At the same time, the police searched and urgently arrested the subjects Chu Thi Cuc Phuong (born in 1982, from Khanh Hoa) and Nguyen Thi Thuy Duong (born in 2001, from Bac Lieu , both temporarily residing in Dak Nong province); Nguyen Thi Kim Loan (born in 1989, residing in Tay Ninh), Le Thi Ngoc Tham (born in 2000, residing in Long An, a drug addict under local management), Nguyen Thi Ngoc Mai (born in 1997, from Ben Tre) and Chau Gia Han (born in 2004, from Dong Thap) for the act of buying and selling people under 16 years old. Through the investigation, the subjects confessed to having successfully bought and sold more than 30 cases of buying and selling newborn babies.

On this occasion, authorized by the Ministry of Public Security , the Director of the Provincial Police also awarded the title of Emulation Fighter of the entire Public Security Force to 2 officers, and awarded Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Public Security to 4 groups and 7 individuals of the Binh Duong Provincial Police with outstanding achievements in investigating special cases against subjects with the acts of "Illegal manufacture, storage, trading, and use of military weapons"...
