Recently, on social networks (Tiktok, Facebook, Zalo), there has been a situation where some people publicly post phone numbers to buy social insurance books from employees, or accept procedures related to social insurance agencies with high fees, some procedures with very high fees. These individuals use images and logos of social insurance agencies on personal pages to cause confusion, provide free advice on simple regulations for employees to create trust and thereby accept to buy social insurance books, perform procedures with fees for employees who do not understand legal regulations or are afraid to contact social insurance agencies to resolve errors in social insurance records.
The act of buying and selling social insurance books is often disguised as "authorization to receive one-time social insurance benefits". The buyer will ask the employee to sign an authorization paper, along with personal documents and social insurance books, to legalize the withdrawal process...
Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance believes that this is a potentially risky behavior, not only for employees but also for those who buy social insurance books. In many cases, due to the disclosure of personal information during the buying and selling process, they will face the risk of having their identity exploited for other illegal acts. On the buyer's side, the risk is also not small when all social insurance benefits according to regulations belong only to the individual employee.
In order to contribute to preventing this situation, Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance will continue to request the departments receiving documents of Thu Duc City Social Insurance, districts, and the city Social Insurance office to strengthen strict control when receiving documents requesting to settle one-time social insurance benefits of employees, check the legality of the Power of Attorney or Special Authorization Contract, especially the authorization for one person to receive social insurance or one-time social insurance multiple times. At the same time, it will carefully verify cases of authorization not for relatives to ensure compliance with regulations and protect the rights of employees.
