"Footprintless field" in Quang Binh, farmers harvest 75 quintals/ha of rice, sell right in the field, high price

This is the result of my recent collaboration with Song Gianh Corporation to grow 3 sao 10 with Huong Binh rice variety. During the planting process, the company brought in drones to support sowing, spraying, fertilizing, and when harvesting, they also provided sacks to hold the rice."

In the fields in Tien Son village (Quang Tien commune, Ba Don town, Quang Binh province), farmers are renting harvesters to harvest rice.

"Today I rented a machine to harvest, seeing the rice full of grain I was very happy, the estimated yield is 75 quintals/ha, the company also came to buy at the field at 7,200 VND/kg", said Mr. Hoang Van Hoa.

Huong Binh rice variety in the rice field in Tien Son village (Quang Tien commune, Ba Don town, Quang Binh province) is heavy with grain and has high yield.

Mr. Hoang Van Thang - Secretary of Tien Son village Party cell, Quang Tien commune (Ba Don town, Quang Binh province) said: "On the field without footprints of nearly 5 hectares, the rice is ripe and very productive. My family also participates in this model with more than 5 sao, I am currently waiting for the machine to harvest to sell fresh rice right in the field to Song Gianh Corporation at the price of 7,200 VND/kg".

Mr. Hoang Van Ngung - Secretary of the Party Committee of Quang Tien Commune (Ba Don Town, Quang Binh Province), shared: "This summer-autumn crop, the locality cooperated with Song Gianh Corporation to build a footprint-free agricultural production model in Tien Son village on an area of nearly 5 hectares with Huong Binh rice variety. The process has helped farmers shorten the planting time, ensure their own safety and reduce the hardship when drones do all the work."

"When we visited the fields, we were very happy to see the rice growing evenly and full of grain, the yield must be more than 75 quintals/ha. We will build rice grains from this field without footprints, submit them to the authorities for recognition as OCOP products, and in the future, we will continue to cooperate with Song Gianh Corporation to replicate this model," said Mr. Hoang Van Ngung.

Talking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Head of the Economic Department of Ba Don town (Quang Binh province), said: "The initial steps of applying scientific and technical advances to cultivation on an area of nearly 5 hectares in Tien Son village, Quang Tien commune have yielded positive results. The rice grows evenly and beautifully, yielding 75 quintals/ha. The company buys fresh rice right in the field at a price of 7,200 VND, which is a good price for the people. In the coming time, the department will continue to advise the People's Committee of Ba Don town to implement plans to replicate the zero-footprint agricultural model in the area."

In the winter-spring crop of 2024, on a 22-hectare field in Xuan Thuy commune (Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province), Song Gianh Corporation also cooperated with the Agricultural Extension Center - Quang Binh province to cooperate with farmer Tran Duy Khanh to produce high-quality organic rice with mechanization and product consumption. At the end of the crop, the rice grew well, yielded high yields and was purchased by Song Gianh Corporation at a price higher than the market price.
