Specifically, the eastern provinces such as Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Tay Ninh, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai will continue to record high temperatures of around 35-36 degrees Celsius, with the lowest relative humidity of 40-50%. Some western provinces such as Long An, Dong Thap, An Giang are also in the affected area, with the same temperature and lower humidity, from 50-55%.
The meteorological station warns: Low humidity combined with high temperatures increases the risk of dehydration and heat stroke, especially for the elderly, children and outdoor workers. At the same time, heat continues to be a potential cause of fires in residential areas and forest fires in localities with large areas of green space and dry forests. In addition, prolonged high temperatures can lead to exhaustion, dehydration and heat stroke if exposed to the sun for too long.
Although the heat wave is expected to ease from April 25 onwards, people are still advised to maintain heat wave prevention measures in the coming days.
