The Northern Mountainous Region Hydrometeorological Station issued an urgent storm warning - storm No. 2. It is forecasted that from the night of July 22 to the end of July 24, Phu Tho province is likely to experience heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with total rainfall of 50-100mm, in some places over 150mm.
Accordingly, at 4:00 p.m. on July 21, the center of the storm was located at about 17.4 degrees North latitude; 110.9 degrees East longitude, in the sea northwest of Hoang Sa archipelago, about 180km east of Hainan island (China), the strongest wind near the center of the storm was level 8 (62-74lm/h), gusting to level 10, moving in the West Northwest direction at a speed of 10-15km/h.
Tonight and tomorrow (July 22), the province is affected by the northern edge of the tropical convergence zone connecting with Storm No. 2, which tends to lift its axis to the North, combined with the southwestern edge of the subtropical high pressure, so the weather will be rainy and thunderstorms in the province.
