On April 15, the Ministry of Finance advised people and businesses to be vigilant against acts of forgery and taking advantage of the name of the Ministry of Finance to defraud people for personal gain.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Finance recommends that people and businesses be vigilant and cautious in money transfer transactions with strangers on the internet.

In addition, when people detect signs of fraud, they need to report it to the authorities to avoid possible unfortunate losses.

The Ministry of Finance also said it is coordinating and requesting competent authorities to clarify acts of forging documents, signatures, and seals of the Ministry's leaders and the Ministry of Finance.

Previously, on March 31, the Ministry of Finance warned about a Facebook page called “Receiving, Processing, and Refunding Suspended Capital” that used the Ministry of Finance’s images and information, claiming to be a representative of the Ministry to “recover money” for victims of online fraud. The Ministry of Finance confirmed that this was a fake Facebook page and asked people and businesses to be highly vigilant against these Facebook posts./.
