DNVN - On January 25, Mr. Duong Duc Xuan - Deputy General Director of Danang Port Joint Stock Company chaired a meeting and worked with a delegation from Osaka Port, Japan led by Mr. K.Kikahata - CEO of Tatsumi Shokai Co., Ltd.
At the meeting, Mr. Duong Duc Xuan, on behalf of the Board of Directors and all officers and employees of Da Nang Port, warmly welcomed and thanked the Osaka Port delegation for their visit. At the same time, Mr. Duong Duc Xuan briefly informed the delegation about the development of Da Nang Port in recent times.
Mr. K.Kikahata - CEO of Tatsumi Shokai Co., Ltd. led a delegation from Osaka Port to visit and work with Da Nang Port on January 25, 2024.
“Da Nang Port wishes to strengthen cooperation with Osaka Port, exchange human resources, technology, engineering, digital transformation, share information and invest in key projects that Da Nang Port is promoting,” Mr. Duong Duc Xuan emphasized.
Introducing Osaka Port, Mr. K.Kikahata - CEO of Tatsumi Shokai Co., Ltd. said that this is one of the major international commercial ports in Japan and has been designated as a super hub port along with Kobe Port. All activities of Osaka Port are being exploited by the infrastructure system on an area of nearly 2,000 hectares.
Currently, Osaka Port receives and handles about 85 million tons of cargo each year. The port is also a distribution center for most of Japan and imports a wide variety of goods, mainly food and agricultural products, crude oil, coal, iron ore, metals, chemicals, dyes, etc.
Osaka Port delegation visited Tien Sa port and took souvenir photos with leaders of Da Nang Port.
Mr. K.Kikahata acknowledged the opinions of Deputy General Director of Da Nang Port Duong Duc Xuan; at the same time, he wished to further promote the cooperation between Osaka Port and Da Nang Port with specific and practical contents, creating sustainable and strong development for both sides.
According to Mr. Duong Duc Xuan, Japan is a leading economic partner of Vietnam in general and Da Nang in particular. Japanese enterprises in Da Nang operate effectively, contributing positively to the socio-economic development of the city. In particular, the friendly relationship between Da Nang Port and Osaka Port is always strong, supporting each other to develop together, for the common prosperity of these two seaports.
