Can Tho: Official information about the fire that caused about 2 billion VND in damage

On the afternoon of April 20, Can Tho City Police officially informed about a large fire that broke out at 1:00 a.m. the same day at a furniture store, causing about 2 billion VND in damage.

Specifically, at 1:10 a.m. on April 20, a major fire broke out at Loc Nghi Furniture Store, specializing in sanitary equipment and furniture, belonging to Loc Nghi Company Limited (located at 185 3/2 Street, Hung Loi Ward, Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City). The fire quickly spread, burning most of the goods and 700 square meters of the store.

Immediately after receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Can Tho City Police urgently mobilized 11 fire trucks, 2 pump trucks and 2 vehicles from regional teams to the scene.

At the same time, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force coordinated with Hung Loi Ward Police and Ninh Kieu Electricity to deploy firefighting, rescue and relief work. At about 2:35 a.m., the fire was basically controlled, preventing the risk of spreading to neighboring areas. By 3 a.m. the same day, the fire was completely extinguished.

Initial statistics show that the fire caused serious property damage, with most of the shops and many goods burned. Initial damage is estimated at about 2 billion VND. Two adjacent houses were also burned.

Fortunately, the fire did not cause any human damage. Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the fire.
