On the evening of June 10, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha attended the conference to summarize the special emulation campaign to celebrate the 75th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's call for patriotic emulation (June 11, 1948 - June 11, 2023); review 2 years of implementing the emulation movement "Thai Nguyen promotes the digital transformation program" for the period 2021 - 2025; honor "Typical Thai Nguyen citizens".
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, the Deputy Prime Minister sent to the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Thai Nguyen province, as well as all comrades and delegates his warmest sentiments, kind regards and best wishes.
The history of Vietnam's revolution is always marked by emulation movements.
At the conference, the Deputy Prime Minister and delegates reviewed the birth and historical significance of President Ho Chi Minh's Call for Patriotic Emulation.
After the Viet Bac victory (Autumn-Winter 1947), in response to the need to promote the all-people, all-out resistance war, on June 11, 1948, in Na Lom hamlet, Phu Dinh commune - the center of the revolutionary base area of Dinh Hoa Safe Zone (Thai Nguyen), President Ho Chi Minh issued a call for patriotic emulation to encourage our army and people to compete to "Destroy hunger, destroy illiteracy, and destroy foreign invaders".
The appeal has summoned millions of hearts and minds of Vietnamese people, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, religion, rich or poor, united with the will of self-reliance and self-strengthening, creating an unparalleled strength to bring the Vietnamese revolution to the shore of victory, realizing the noble goal of gaining independence for the Fatherland, freedom, prosperity and happiness for the people.
Since then, his patriotic emulation ideology has always been creatively applied by our Party and people to suit each revolutionary stage, always being an important driving force, mobilizing the combined strength of the entire nation, especially in the face of historical opportunities, difficult times, and severe challenges.
The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that the history of the Vietnamese revolution has always been marked by emulation movements on many fronts; from the front to the rear, from urban to rural areas, from lowlands to highlands; in all fields; in all classes of people, at all levels and in all sectors. The front competes in fighting and making achievements, the rear competes in increasing production.
The movements "Popular education", "Two good" in education; "Three best flags" in the army; "Great wind" in agriculture; "Co Duyen Hai waves" in industry; "Three ready" and "Five volunteers" among the youth; "Three responsibilities" of women, or "Each person works as two, for the beloved South",... truly became strong motivations, practical revolutionary actions for the historic victory of Dien Bien Phu in 1954, the Great Spring Victory in 1975.
After the South was completely liberated, the country was unified, the whole country moved towards socialism, patriotic emulation movements were deployed strongly and comprehensively with the spirit of "All for socialism, for the happiness of the people"; "All for the cause of building and defending the socialist Fatherland", with criteria, content and slogans for action for each field to promote the combined strength of all citizens for the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
In the Doi Moi process, with the goal of "Rich people, strong country, fair, democratic and civilized society", many emulation movements have achieved high efficiency such as "Hunger eradication, poverty reduction", "All people unite to build a cultural life", "Creative youth", "Good workers, creative workers",... And recently, the whole country "Join hands to build new countryside", "Vietnamese enterprises integrate and develop", "Join hands for the poor - leaving no one behind"...
In particular, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the entire Party, the entire army and the entire people responded to the call of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to compete, unite, join forces, and be determined to prevent and repel the pandemic, quickly recover and develop the economy and society.

Continuing the tradition of the "resistance capital"
Sharing joy with the Party Committee, government, army and people of Thai Nguyen province, the Deputy Prime Minister stated that, continuing the tradition of the "resistance capital", over the years, the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Thai Nguyen province have always been united, creative, striving to compete and follow Uncle Ho's words: "All compatriots and cadres must strive to make Thai Nguyen one of the richest and most prosperous provinces in the North of our country".
Many meaningful and practical emulation movements, associated with the local development practices, have received the enthusiastic and active participation of the people and business community such as: "Thai Nguyen enterprises integrate and develop", "Thai Nguyen joins hands to build new countryside", "Building clean and strong grassroots party organizations", "Skillful mass mobilization"...
Notably, with the movement "Promoting digital transformation program", Thai Nguyen has risen to 8th place out of 63 provinces in digital transformation; pioneering the implementation of Project 06 of the Government. Shared digital social platforms such as C-ThaiNguyen, ThaiNguyen ID, Electronic Health Handbook... have gradually brought practical effects to the whole society.
"From the emulation movements, many advanced models have emerged, with useful topics, initiatives and solutions, benefiting the country with thousands of billions of VND. Many models and solutions have been replicated, with widespread impacts in Thai Nguyen province and throughout the country," the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
Congratulating the outstanding achievements of 10 typical Thai Nguyen citizens and 75 advanced models, the Deputy Prime Minister believes that "there are many ordinary but noble examples who are silently doing their jobs well day and night, contributing to their homeland and country".
Don't miss the "train" of the fourth industrial revolution
The Deputy Prime Minister said that the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress set the goal that by 2030, Vietnam will be a developing country with modern industry and high average income; by 2045, it will become a developed country with high income.
To realize the above goals, emulation movements need to be implemented effectively and substantially, strongly arousing patriotism, self-reliance, the strength of great national unity and the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country.
"We are entering a period of transformation of the development model to a knowledge-based economy, green economy, circular economy... turning challenges into opportunities. In order not to miss the "train" of the fourth industrial revolution, I hope there will be more emulation movements aimed at building a learning society, digital citizenship, popularizing technological knowledge, innovation, digital transformation, green transformation...", the Deputy Prime Minister noted.

Step by step building Thai Nguyen "rich and prosperous"
The Deputy Prime Minister requested Thai Nguyen province to continue to launch and organize patriotic emulation movements in a practical, regular and comprehensive manner, associated with the implementation of political tasks and socio-economic development of the locality, in which it is necessary to focus on performing a number of tasks well.
Firstly, promote the results achieved after half of the term, focus on implementing and striving to successfully implement the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress and the 13th National Party Congress, closely following the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State and the leadership and direction of the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Government and the Prime Minister.
Second, compete in innovation, improve labor productivity, administrative reform, improve the investment and business environment; enhance competitiveness, promote digital transformation to build digital government, digital economy, digital society, digital urban areas with the participation of each citizen. Strive to make Thai Nguyen a province that balances its budget, worthy of the role, position, and potential of the central province of the northern midlands and mountainous region.
Third, focus on building a clean and strong Party, improving the capacity of cadres and party members; encourage and protect cadres who dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility for the common interest; do a good job of planning, training, and fostering cadres, discovering and attracting talents, considering talents as the driving force for development.

Fourth, pay more attention to health, cultural, social issues, develop education and training, sports, especially high-quality human resources, promote the protection and care of people's health; effectively implement social security policies, take care of policy families, families with revolutionary contributions; at the same time promote good traditional cultural identity, build Thai Nguyen culture and people to develop comprehensively.
Fifth, through emulation movements to discover, foster, honor and replicate advanced models according to President Ho Chi Minh's thought: "A living example is worth more than a hundred propaganda speeches".
Focus on training and fostering professional skills to build a team of cadres doing emulation and reward work with good moral qualities, practical capacity, professional expertise, knowing how to mobilize the masses and organize emulation movements.
The Deputy Prime Minister believes that the patriotic emulation movement of Thai Nguyen province will continue to spread throughout society, mobilizing the combined strength, intelligence and spirit of innovation in carrying out the task of socio-economic development, gradually becoming "rich and prosperous" as Uncle Ho wished.
