(Dan Tri) - Belonging to the mini car segment, VF 3 is a car model below the A-class segment, which VinFast announced to be developed based on the characteristics and traffic habits of Vietnamese people.
Within the framework of the exhibition "VinFast - For a Green Future" taking place on the morning of July 7 at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace (Hanoi), the Vietnamese car company unveiled a series of new products. Most notably, the appearance of VF 3, VinFast's smallest electric car model, was first introduced to the public.
According to the company, VF 3 was developed based on the characteristics and traffic habits of Vietnamese people. The product is aimed at customers who need to use cars in urban areas, like flexibility, compactness and young users buying cars for the first time.
The VF 3 displayed in the glass case is just a simulation. In the near future, the company will accept deposits for the car in 2 versions: Eco and Plus.
It is not clear which version the car on display belongs to. The expected length, width and height of the VF 3 are 3,114mm, 1,673mm and 1,567mm respectively. This size is smaller than A-class cars, but VinFast 's product creates a sense of grandeur thanks to its square lines.
The design of VF 3 has the feel of an off-road SUV, different from the soft look of its "seniors" in the VinFast electric vehicle product line.
The front of the car has the "bird wings" characteristic of Vietnamese car manufacturers, but they are not LED daytime running lights but decorative bars. This detail sweeps to both sides to separate the front light clusters: the top is the turn signal and the bottom is the LED headlights.
The front bumper is painted black along with the wheel arches, with air vents on both sides. The rearview mirrors are painted black, large, vertically placed, connecting from the body, not the A-pillar.
The A and B pillars of the VF 3 are painted black, the roof has a different color than the body, promising many exterior paint color options for users. The car on display uses a set of 16-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels painted black, with Nexen Winguard WT1 tires.
Limited in size, VinFast VF 3 has a 3-door design including 2 sides and a trunk. The car will still have a 5-seat configuration but will most likely have to trade off storage space in the trunk.
The rear of the car also has the presence of "bird wing" decorative details and the V logo. The compact taillight cluster has a horizontal turn signal strip above, and below is the taillight consisting of 3 strips of lights.
The lower bumper has a thick, stylized design with air vents on both sides similar to the front bumper.
The interior of the VinFast VF 3 on display is not yet complete. The dashboard and steering wheel inside are only modeled and not detailed.
According to the design image that the company previously released, the car's steering wheel will have a number of buttons and adjustment scroll buttons. Behind is an 8-inch digital dashboard that displays some basic information. The car does not have an entertainment screen.
VinFast has not announced engine information and performance on VF 3.
Some sources say that the VF 3 will have a maximum range of up to 237km on a single charge. This is also a parameter that many customers expect for a car model aimed at urban travel needs. The selling price remains unknown, but it is likely that VinFast will launch a VF3 sales policy with a battery rental option to reduce initial costs.
